Well ive had a royally sucky day!First Chris and I had a fight this morning because I had to go into work sick. OK before anyone tells me I know he was right, but I had to sort the stuff that needed doing today. Have been feeling really crap all day not only because ive been ill but because I feel bad for Chris :( . anyhoo he's forgiven me and I feel better.Jon has been very quiet today I think he's shocked that we actually fight from time to time. Or maybe its because he had to hear us making up lol.Cheerie bye for now xxx

The *mom* types might disagree, but I think that if you could walk, you should go into work. Particularly with how new you are and that you are in management. The whole "Dave the hard ass" (kinda like that thought) thing goes right out the window if you call in sick with, most likely, the same thing that the night dude did.

As to your bro-in-law, I hope Chris wasn't stupid enough to complain to him in your absence. That would be poor form. And while he may be embarassed about the make up sex, it will help him to understand better that you guys have a real relationship, not some stereotype.

Moms don't get sick and they always go to work.

Sharon

(who honestly can not remember the last time she had a sick day and also managed to make it through work today while dealing with a migraine)

Dave,

I feel you did the right thing by going into work. As Snow Dog and Sharon said, as Management, in fact the person in charge of your store and 300 employees, you had an important meeting. You not being there meant what is the point for others in the meeting. Sometimes, you have to do what you have to do. Besides setting the example...and you couldn't after the night Manager called in sick at the last second, just not show. Bad form.

So, although your hubby was just being concerned (hey at least you got to make up in a fun way), I feel you did the right thing. Your bro in law saw that you two, even if you fight, make up and have a real relationship....so, you had a win win win....even if you were sick and had to go in.

I still want to know what your saying means....Snow Dog came up with one interpretation...

hmmmm...as Jules would say!
