Strange things can happen at night in the dark.  

Nocturnal is derived from a list of Latin words.  

nox, noct (meaning night), nocturnus (of the night), nocturnalis (belonging to the night), and then in the late 15th century it was adopted by the Middle French as nocturnal.

Me too.  I'm up all night and usually sleep during the day, which is hard when I have doctor or dentist appointments.  Most times I end up going on very little sleep.  I usually go to sleep between 8:00 and 10:00 and then wake up before 7:00, but I'm wired today and working on a project.  I'll probably just doze of in my office chair.

Despite Hollywood's complete idiocy on the subject, elder vampyre are not nocturnal. In fact, they need sunlight.

It is juvenile vampyre who are strictly nocturnal. They are immature, and the change has not taken hold yet. It takes a few decades before they can handle sunlight.

More like German cinema rather than Hollywood since it was Nosferatu which started the trope.

In Bram Stoker's novel, Dracula could walk in sunlight, but couldn't use his powers.

It's only by accident copies of Nosferatu exist since Stoker's heirs sued and won a copyright infringement suit and all copies of the film were ordered to be destroyed.

I think i can honestly say I've never had an nocturnal emission :P I always laughed at that medical term (if it is) for a wet dream :gikkle: 

I guess I never let anything down there ever rest enough to build any pressure ;)
