But one might argue not for a Caesar. For a Caesar, while mortal, is not merely a man.

160 entries and nothing more to offer you. Except for the two, below.

This one seems to cover it all, I am sorry to say.

Fugacious - definition of fugacious by The Free Dictionary

With this one, I hope and pray that he never had tenure. Also, that if watching this video was part of a course curriculum requirement?? My wish that any or all who made the syllabus, be restrained and forced to watch it on an endless loop(evil laughter in the background).

I thought fugacious referred to the mafia guys from South Boston, MA.

"Fugget about it!" "Fugget about em."

People are like... "Man, those guys are fugacious!"

I think you have in mind fugazi or fugazy, which is a slang term for fake or forged. It can be an item or an insincere person.

No, 'fugget about it' is a real thing. There was also a cartoon called Fugget About It that was about NY gangsters.

But I was just having some fun with the word of the day.

Roman Caesars who aspired to Godhood were more likely to be an inbred psycho with a brain mostly eaten by syphilis than divine.

Regardless of what you intended, you'll find the same guys saying fugazi.

Not all were Tiberius. But after a couple of millennia we still remember words, deeds, and images of many of them. It's a form of immortality and if you dig around, you're likely to find someone still worshipping them in some fashion. Divinity, like beauty, is in the eyes of the beholder.

There are some Roman Emperors of noble character like Justinian or Marcus Aurealus. Then again, there was Nero and a few who ruled for a short time until the Praetorians decided he was too big an idiot to be emperor or took a bribe.

Yet even the idiots are remembered.

Maybe even especially the idiots.

Besides, worshipping a Caesar isn't so far out there. Think of the major religions which have deified mortal men.
