Having had some experience with nose smacking (I of course get it often with a rolled up newspaper) I can understand the humiliation.

The only time I really came close to breaking my nose was in college, I was going into the lab one weekend and opened the heavy glass door to the building right into the bridge of my nose (yea I'm kinda clumsy sometimes ). Thank IDer it only blead for a bit and wasn't broken. The funny thing was that I didn't have to lie about it because the truth was so stupid, people just assumed I was lying

My goodness, what kind of store is that place? Fires, assaulters, next we'll be hearing about Dave finding two customers going at it in produce aisle!

Oh. I didn't realize that's what you were saying. I liked your General/troops analogy, although there are those times when something really exciting is happening and even generals get involved. Besides, the troops like to see the brass in there, getting their hands dirty. So good for you Dave!
