So... progress. I wrote eighteen whole pages today. They just happened to be split up over three different stories. I think a few days off has done a lot for getting those creative juices (why are they called that?) Flowing, but apparently, they

I wish I had good taste in music, but I will freely admit that I don't. I really very emphatically don't. But if you're willing to be a little adventurous, I would recommend Bond. It's a string quartet from Australia. Don't worry it's not a champagne and hors d'oeuvres string quartet, it's actually very high energy. It always seemed to make writing easier for me, mostly because it's very easy to get lost in the music.

Good luck with the writing, congratulations on the shelves, and hope the fireworks are everything you expected and then some. ;-)

oooooh, you should listen to Santana while you write....he's helped me get through 3 chapters and an anthology entry :)

Stevie Nicks or Meat Loaf ... very good for writing to! :P

As for the homophobe, you're definitely being too nice. I'd probably throw a cast iron Buddha statue at his head ... but that's just me ... :2hands:

And kudos on the writing ... I should probably go re-read the first 11 chapters of WT so I can be ready for the next installment! :great:

18 Pages! Excellent, though I'm really hoping you don't write in 48pt :)

I find it hard to write with music. The lyrics put me off, and then the dancing begins, it's frightening.

The Da Vinci code was a good read, and I agree it's rather sad some people took it rather seriously, however surely that's one sign of a good author - to use myth and spice it with the possibility of truth - we all know Hobbit's are real.

I found the 'Divine Number' fascinating, and the person next to Christ in the last supper certainly looks androgynous enough

Yeah!!!!! I'll go start clicking my refresh button :D

Vic 0:)

P.S. - regarding the homophobe - since he's part of the other side of the family, I would think that it's your father's new wife should be handling him. No need for your dad to confront this guy and his shirt directly.

I reccomend Jason Mraz. His music is very good, very addictive, and not depressing at all.

Also, the MARS soundtrack. It's nice, and in Chinese so it's not like you're going to get caught up in the song and start singing along (I do that...).

As to the jerk, the ultimate punch line: Chicks dig gay guys.

Ok, so maybe not. But don't take the guy seriously, and just secretly laugh at him. I had experience with my own share of frustrating people, and there's nothing you can really do. They're good for ranting on, though.
