viv 687 Posted September 21, 2008 Umm, I'm not sure whether I want to sympathize with you or not... I mean I DEFINITELY know what it's like when they think they're 'helping' or 'trying to do you a favor' but in my house, I am the dishwasher... so, I think almost any dishwasher would be welcomed, even one with flashy lights. Have I mentioned that Rich built his own computer, clear case with a neon blue light that shines so brightly it lights the next room at night, and a subwoofer the size of a TV and a monitor bigger than that? Yeah, I have one of those husbands too... Good luck, you show that dishwasher who's boss! Hugs, Viv
Mark Arbour 99,661 Posted September 21, 2008 My wife went out of town one weekend and I painted the hallway. It looked like shit before, so anything was an improvement. She came home and got all pissed off that I did it without "consulting" her. Of course, now, months later, she loves the color and wants to paint the second guest room to match it. So the question for you (and her) is: Are you really dissatisfied, or are you just a control freak?

NaperVic 161 Posted September 21, 2008 I hate my dishwasher. Is it still flashing 12:00 ? I've found that newer dishwashers are quieter & do a better job of cleaning. You're probably just intimidated by all the new fangled features. Maybe you should try embracing the dishwasher and try being at one with it. What color is it? If it's black or stainless steel it will match in my kitchen. You can send it to me
Trebs 1,132 Posted September 21, 2008 Vic- I think she will only give it to you, if you take the hubby too....
sat8997 552 Posted September 21, 2008 Vic-I think she will only give it to you, if you take the hubby too.... That could be arranged...I can't figure out how to put my dishes in the damn thing (the racks suck), but I'm fairly certain, with only a few minor adjustments, I can shove my husband in the thing, thereby saving on the freight charges.
Mark Arbour 99,661 Posted September 21, 2008 "That could be arranged...I can't figure out how to put my dishes in the damn thing" Are talking about your dishwasher or your husband? Hey wait! Maybe there's a solution.
Maddy 8 Posted September 23, 2008 *Replaces all your remote controls with a big, confusing Universal one.*
NaperVic 161 Posted September 24, 2008 Ohh, this thread reminds me at my Ex's first attempt at getting me a KitchenAid Mixer. He mistakenly got me the one that lifted up like a clamshell when anyone who's in the know knows you need the type that goes up/down.
Krista 14,671 Posted September 29, 2008 I hate new appliances... I usually just stare at it.. then push a button.. just to stare at it again when it doesn't do what I want it to do... So I can only imagine your frustration with the dishwasher if it has a lot of little buttons.. lol.
