jovian_w2002 Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 lol 14/15 haha. I spelled daiquiri wrongly. I don't drink at all, and I don't really know what that is LOL. I hate cocktails haha.
StueyNZ Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 I'm almost ashamed to admit: 9/15  The most embarrassing one being the military rank. I was in the army once. (We used to joke that there is a rank below private: Bandsman) Thank god for spell checkers.
DEMO Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 I'm almost ashamed to admit: 9/15  The most embarrassing one being the military rank. I was in the army once. (We used to joke that there is a rank below private: Bandsman) Thank god for spell checkers. I got 9 of 15 too. And I didn't think I was guessing. Spell check has made me lazy. I blame Bill Gates.
Mark Arbour Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 14/15 That's why I have the best editor in the whole wide world.
Kanaye Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 I got 13/15. I cant believe I got "Weird" wrong. I even said the i before e rule, which I didnt learn till I was 16 or 17. I also got grateful wrong. The only one I really guessed at was millennium, and I figured Million had two L's so would millennium. And yet, I had no problem with dumbbell...
David McLeod Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 The English language offers plenty of everyday terms that can trip up even the best spellers. How hard could this quiz be with just two choices for each word? You may be surprised! Easy Mistakes Quiz 15/15 I'll admit to guessing once or twice. That was a fun quiz. Thanks for linking it. I find homonyms give me more trouble as a writer and editor than does spelling. Here
J_Ross Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 Lol, 14/15. I thought I was going to fail miserably, I was pretty shocked... Really, dumbbell? *shrug* I guessed on that one and the two b's just looked funny. *drops head*
canundra Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 15/15. I thought the quiz had minuscule wrong, since I've always spelled it miniscule. After a Google search, turns out I was wrong...
BeeJay Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 15 out of 15 for me. I've always been a good speller, much to the irritation of my friends. I can't seem to refrain from checking restaurant menus for misspellings. In fact, there's a typo on the "About GA" page on this site that I'm itching to point out to the powers that be, but it's good discipline for me to keep my OCD in check. 1
