  1. I'm really enjoying the story so far, but got confused by all the new names. I would use the Dramatis Personae, but it doesn't help that some characters have 'deceased' next to their name. It spoiled the ending of the story.
  2. Any updates on the book?
  3. I like the story, but there's something I don't get. Coop said in Chapter 1 to Vern, "Mich is hot." But in Chapter 2 we find out he's not out to his best friend? I know the story hints that Vern already knows (and is possibly saddened by this), but no closeted man would say a guy is hot. At least, I would never had done that when I was deep in the closet. Anyways, great story. Can't wait for Chapter 8.
  4. That's funny. I think the opposite. I was less interested with Owen/Aiden this time around than I was with Travis/Dennis. Travis/Dennis, IMO, is what makes ITFB. The other characters, while important, are just the side orders, so to speak. As for WT, I don't remember the story at all. I probably won't go back to it until I'm sure there are new chapters coming out.
  5. Did we ever learn who was the second person authorized to see Sara? Does Travis know who this second person is? Another great chapter Dom
  6. I find that I can't reread TLW anymore because I like Dennis (the new Dennis) waaaay too much after reading ITFB to be reminded of what a jackass he was in TLW. Oh well.
  7. What the hell. We get a major cliffhanger at the end of 26 (which, by the way, I LOVED. Dennis & Travis ftw!) and then the next chapter does nothing to resolve it, and ends on another, if less intense, cliffhanger. For the rest of this evening, I'll be refreshing the ITFB page every few minutes. I hope I don't have to do this for too long. Thanks Dom for the great story!
  8. I wonder if that's the case. I'm listed as an Advanced Member. All the people who have had success with downloading the attachments are listed differently (Hosted Authors, Admins, Promising Authors, GA Supporter, etc.) @Linxe: No, clearing cache doesn't help. I really think it's something to do with the forum. A bug or something.
  9. I currently use Chrome, but have had the same problem with Firefox.
  10. I'm getting the same error. I'd rather not create a new account, since I've had the same account for 3 years (in three days!). To the board admins (or anyone with the necessary knowledge), do you have any suggestions as to how I can get around this? And Dom, thanks! If this is any indication of how this year will be, then I'm gonna have a pretty good year
  11. Michio Kaku is bomb.
  12. Michio Kaku is bomb.
  13. I know Sam has his issues, and he's a stubborn S.O.B., and he's a complete mess, but... FINALLY. Thanks for writing, Adam. I can't wait to read the next one.
  14. Is this another time-travel story?
  15. I only had one problem with the story, and that was the scene where Grier convinces Aleck that Graviel is a bad man. It was all a little too quick for me, and Aleck was easily convinced for a guy who claimed to trust Graviel completely. I mean, it took a while for Grier to lose his trust in Graviel, but it only takes a few minutes for Aleck to do the same? Otherwise, it was an excellent story. I enjoyed it immensely.
  16. Okay, so I'm writing this in lieu of preparing a presentation for tomorrow, but whatevs. Priorities, right? First things first, I second, third, fourth, etc. the recommendations for Human Condition. It's one of my top 5 stories I've read online, and I've read quite a few. Educating Alex is an excellent story as well. Although the ending is rather abrupt, but everything else is great. Now, onto my recommendations. Me and T.S. Eliot (a.k.a UCLA Jock Romance) by Andrew J - This is one of my favorite short stories. Short, simple, and sweet. The narrator is a varsity football jock who thinks rather highly of himself, but still comes off as charming (at least, IMO). Plus, the use of T.S. Eliot in this story is adorable. Operation College Quarterback by Phoenix - I haven't read this one in a while, but I remember liking it. About a high school senior and a college athlete. Secret rendezvous, stuff like that. And since it's on Nifty, you can expect sex. My Blonde Brad by someone - Again, haven't read this one in a while either, but I do remember liking it. I don't particularly remember what happened in it, but if you prefer closure to your story, then you probably shouldn't read this. The author ran out of steam and abruptly ended it. But the rest of should be a good read. ...I actually thought I had more recommendations, but it turns out I don't. Most of the good ones have been mentioned already. Okay, back to work.
  17. Pfsh. Hardly. That movie has two things that I find lacking in many gay films: good acting AND good writing. Not either/or. For many films, it's just eye candy, but no substance.
  18. Question: At the beginning of Chapter 2, it says Dale was on summer vacation; thus, he was annoyed he couldn't sleep in when his grandparents were doing stuff in the kitchen. Skip down a few paragraphs, and now it's a long weekend, and he has to go back to school on Monday. Which one is it?
  19. You're cruel to leave us hanging like that in Chapter 7.
  20. Have you ever wondered what Aladdin would look like half-naked? Well... http://morgenfiles.blogspot.com/2008/02/thursday-13-disney-heroes.html WARNING: Link is NSFW. And if your boss catches you on it, he'll probs think you're really weird. Enjoy!
  21. The episode with Kristin Chenoweth wasn't that great, IMO, and I was kinda disappointed. But it picked up again with the newest one. Everyone on that show has won me over, except for Mr. Schuester. I can never take him seriously. Oh, and it's def Puck and Kurt.
  22. About this story. I really enjoyed this "series" and I was wondering if there will be another installment.
  23. So I finally saw Plata Quemada and I HIGHLY recommend it to those who haven't seen it already. The movie isn't perfect. Some plot holes and some confusion as to each characters' motivations, but what really keeps the movie running is the relationship between the two leads. Both guys are very hot, and bring so much intensity to their roles. It's easily one of the best gay relationships I've seen in a movie. And these guys are badass! Argentinean bank robbers, wielding sub machine guns and firing at a huge crowd of police officers. I wish there were more movies like this, where the lead(s) happen to be gay, but tough, macho and kickass. It'd do a lot to combat stereotypes of gay men here in the U.S. The acting was great too. Too often in gay-themed movies here in the U.S., the acting is just terribly awful and takes away from the entire movie. This is primarily the reason why I prefer foreign gay films. The acting is usually way better, and this movie was no exception. Again, HIGHLY recommend that you guys watch this. It'll be well worth your time.
