Looking for a shared-world story

Hello all,

 

I'm trying to remember a shared-world story I ran across years ago, about an underground city built a mile under the surface of the Earth. I don't remember if the stories ever got started, I just remember finding (on the web) the premise and descriptions of various parts of the underground world. I know this isn't a lot of info, but does anyone else remember any more about this?

Never mind, I was wrong - it was not a shared-world story like I thought. I found it on Nifty, from 2002 - Bathys by Nial Thorne.
