Hi..it has only been a few hours since Quinn came out to his sister and his best friend...I believe that Brad is a "Ryan" kind of friend...just give him some time...

 

Quinn and Brad have been friends forever..I am guessing that part of Brad is wondering how come Quinn never told him that he is Gay but Quinn explained it honestly, which is Quinn had his own difficulties coming to terms with being Gay.

 

I feel Brad will be a true friend and be there for Quinn and it will work out. Brad has proven himself a good friend..My prediction is that he will remain that and come to accept his best friend for whom he is and get to know Jude and like him and become friends with him.

 

Anyway, I hope so.

Seems we had a lengthy discussion some time ago about whether Quinn's friends were being supportive, true friends or whether Quinn was being a total nitwit. So you're saying they're not really all that bad now?

 

Seriously, though, I think that so far Brad and Bree have proven themselves to be the supporters that we all hoped they would be if Quinn would just be honest with them. We still have to see what his mother does though.

My opinion of Brad and Bree many months ago was based upon the chapters and as things appeared to me at as they had had been written up to that point.

 

Since that time, Dom has written several more chapters in which it was revealed that Brad and Bree showed themselves to be accepting of Quinn as being Gay, particularly in the last two chapters.

 

Hence, as the story unfolded and more facts appeared, I learned more about the characters and their interactions. Thus, my post a few back, I stated my view point that it appeared to me that Brad would be ok with Quinn being Gay because Dom's story(in my opinion) appeared that there would be "acceptance" by Brad of Quinn...it appears that is what is and has occurred and is evolving in that direction.

 

For me, Just as in real life, as circumstances and facts and life changes with them, opinions based upon the facts as I see them or know them, and as we grow, opinions about life can and do change. From my view point, that is how we grow and develop as we learn new things.

 

Last time I checked, I didn't have to check with anyone for their approval if I change my opinion as life and circumstance change and certainly no less for changing my opinion based upon chapters evolving and as events are being told in chapters in a fictional story.

You certainly don't have to ask anyone to change your opinion. I was just surprised you did since you were so vehement before.

I think that Brad will be in between Ryan and Adam. He will never be as comfortable as Ryan(who asked Aiden to kiss him) but he will not be anything like Adam. IMO, he has more of a problem with Quinn keeping secrets from him than who Quinn sleeps with. I think his

Yeah, I sort of don't know. I mean, part of me does think that Brad is much more capable of becoming completely accepting and understanding, maybe because Janie isn't his older sister. But, as of right now, he's still pretty in between. I just keep remembering how Adam would talk to Owen and Aiden in private, seemingly accepting them as friends, but then would have nothing to do with them in public. To me, that seems like when they were in public, Adam could only categorize them as gay, and not friends.

 

Luckily, Brad is consistenly categorizing Quinn as a friend, and a very close friend at that. But as far as I've seen, he really hasn't come to terms with Quinn being gay. In all probability, he will end up like a Ryan (but, yes, not quite as open), but I just want to express my opinion that there is still the very real chance that Brad ends up like an Adam, or at least a different kind of Adam. Maybe their friendship will just sort of putter out? I see that happening all the time in real life. Ho-Hum.

 

This is sort of what I see in my crystal ball -- Brad and Quinn may not speak with each other for a little while, and Quinn will just assume that Brad doesn't want anything to do with him. Then, a few things will happen at Quinn's household, yada yada yada, maybe a brief argument with Jude about something, some making up (wink wink) then there might be a party at Trina's house or something. When Quinn and Jude show up, Brad is already there (!!) talking with Taylor (!!). Quinn and Brad will talk and everyone will be BFF. And everyone lives happily ever yada yada yada.
