Love her or hate her, you can't help but admire her and the other people involved in making this episode of My Life On The D-List as she takes on bigotry and fights for gay marriage:

At first I was shocked when the gay youths didn't really know about Matthew Shepard then I realised they probably had enough to deal with (mormon parents).

It was Kathy's mom Maggie (an irish-american catholic) crying during this ep that really got to me.

EDIT: Other parts in Drew's post as it ruined my links and made them not work sad.gif

And thanks for the video tom, just finished watching it :)

and I do find it surprising younger ones don't know who he was, I remember when it happened.

There are sites about him, some specials that still run.

I know it's somewhat unrelated, but I found a link to the Matthew Sheppard video that was talked about in the episode.

I like Kathy and her show. This episode was really good. I laughed really loud when they wheeled Maggie down the street with her holding the sign that said "Gay Marriage - I'll drink to that!" or something like that.

I too found it odd that the kids didn't know who Matthew Sheppard was.

VIVE LA KATHY!!

Love that woman, she is genuinely like... just awesome!

I never used to agree about the protests for Gay marriage, as marriage is a religious sacrament, and just as religion shouldnt go anywhere near state law, state law shouldnt interfere with religion (unless its stopping psycho over zealous douches) Anyway after watching that and seeing that civil unions don't bestow the same benefits as "marriage" I'm all for the cause! I thought it was just a whinge about words... Pah!
