Boy In Doubt
I don't post my poems online very often but here's one that I just felt like writing for some reason and thought I'd share with you all. It's called 'Forever' and is about the passage of time and how difficult it can be to adapt to changes in our lives. It isn't about anything or anyone in particular but the emotions are based on real experiences. Forever It seems as if a thousand years Have passed and worn me out, Taking with them all my strength And the fire I could not live without. The air I breathe consumes me, My mortal vessels begin to dry. I feel life flowing through me Yet in this weakened state I lie. Watching those years from a distance, I wonder where they could have gone If time had stood still for a moment And given us chance to right our wrongs, Where would you be if I told you That tomorrow I'd make you mine, Would you be here to hold me Until the end of time. 1 Link to comment
Kev de Cauchery
I'll say it's beautiful, and sad to see that somethings must have happened to evoke such emotions. I'll say we'll still young. Have been there myself. I believe it'll pass. Link to comment
Boy In Doubt
I'll say it's beautiful, and sad to see that somethings must have happened to evoke such emotions. I'll say we'll still young. Have been there myself. I believe it'll pass. Thanks for reading, Kevin. And yes, I suppose it is a little bittersweet. Even remembering good times can make me sad because I know I'd never feel that way again, or experience the same things I did back then. It's hard to describe. It's like losing a part of yourself and not being able to get it back. But it does pass, and then there's the future to look forward to. Link to comment
Toast
It has taken me a while to get here. Strange but in a way that is what your words are about. But now is not then and you are not here. But my regard and best wishes are. Thanks for the poem. Link to comment
