Thanks for the chapter CJ :2thumbs:

So at least Trevor, Joel and maybe Gonzales are now have serious doubts about Dirk and Jim being involved. Hopefully when the Cocoa Beach cops reveal that George made the call to close in on them that it is another clue for Gonzales to watch the Special Detective.

I wonder if this lawyer from Vegas will be making another appearance :P You know what they say about divorce lawyers......right?one

Then you introduced Steve a bit more, the swim team captain. It is funny how a character forms in your mind when you get introduced to him, but for some reason I am picturing Moose from the Archie comic series  I know we met him before but just the feeling that i get :)

So much more to discuss so I'll be back :D

It seems to be a snowball effect ... if Trevored did call after gonzalas then all this drama would not take off.

or even call it sort of a smoking gun effect ... but blame george for that

I guess Sales at the chandlery are going down further ... you think Dirk and Jim have become the next Bonnie and Clyde? (lovers in crime)

If Trev does not get a Sat phone ... soon ... the sooner the better to take off for austrailia

Inconsistancy ... on a pay phone and will be out of cell range in a few min?

Does a lawyer would make a good detective ... like Barnaby jones? I forgot if there was tv series a lawyer being a detective.

I guess that camping trips is scraped and Trevor is on the move

I wonder how many legs there will be?

Not much on the internet about logs debris ... some one did say about 4 to 7 knots ... but no pics of the debris

Slopping up route towards Java to North Austrailia - not sure how a northernly pass over austraila is

Seychelles to British India Ocean Territory (1000 miles)

British India Ocean Territory to ( Cocos or Christmas Island ) 1200m

( Cocos or Christmas Island ) to Austrilaia ( 800m / 500m)

Direct Route to West Austrailia - any major city would have to be via the southern pass

Seychelles to mascarene island (800 miles)

Mascarene Island to Austraila (2200 miles)

Not sure if he would do a sloping up path there but I don't see any islands

If its 3000 miles its minimum 50m per day at 60 days ... a long walk to austrailia 3m/hr at 16/hrs/day at 67 days ... if only all the logs made a straight line there

B)...................Wow what a chapter, a lot of phone calls! Can Gonzales really charge Trevor for interfering? I suppose Trevor can always say Jim is his lawyer, you know that lawyer client thing! 0:) So, I can expect a lot more phone calls in the next chapter, Hmmm what was the important team meeting Joel called for? Then Joel calling Gonzales giving him the good news that Trevor has left the area. Gonzales calling Coco Beach to find out what the hell happened, will he wonder how George found out that Dirk and Jim were tipped off to the arrests prior to the wire tap info being known? George's 2nd mistake will bring him into full focus of Gonzalez's investigation now that Jim and Dirk are on vacation. :D

Will Benji sue Jim for stealing his LV brochures? Wait a minute...How did the goat know about my the memorabilia collection?? (checks webcam)

It is nice to know that Jim has a solution to everything... Pizza!! How did Bridget overhear Lisa and Joel's conversation? I guess she had to be at the guesthouse waiting for Joel to finish practice Unknowingly, George is Jim & Dirks G-dsend letting them escape unnoticed, won't be long til they enter Jim's place and see the Las Vegas Brochures. Jim is really good at misdirection and dodging, but I think he will contact Gonzales at some point.

Great chapter CJ!! I can see Bridget and George toasting their champagne glass's to each other now, will Gonzales?

What's that old saying? Las Vegas is the root of all Evil? 0:)

Dirk and Jim running certainly won't help their case. :)

And Lol... That's an interesting take on Steve... though for some reason, I was picturing him with a Canadian accent. 0:)

The inconsistency is just bad wording on my part: Trevor was on a payphone, which was beeping as the call timed out, and he was replying to Jim's question about being able to contact him by saying that he'd be out of cell range once he was a few miles away. That is poorly worded though... I'll see if I can figure a way to fix it. :)

The route... You have it almost completely right on the Mascarine Islands) the only difference is it's over 3300 miles for the leg from Rodreguez to Australia, not 2200. The Mascarine Islands (From west to east they are R

Errr, actually it say's 'What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, no evil at all' 0:)

Jim loves pizza. :) Yes, I do foresee champagne for Bridget and George. :)

....An too early celebration!

Once Trevor is a couple of miles offshore, that's it for him and phones; his cell :read:would be a paperweight. But Dirk and Jim are now on the run.

George may, or may not, have messed up. He wanted them to be caught running, because running is so often seen as prima face evidence of guilt by a jury. They haven't been caught And Benji... I never knew you were a cutthroat divorce lawyer? And that collection; decorating your office with Las Vegas tourist stuff!

But what about all those tacky Las Vegas tourist souvenirs (like that Stratosphere model made out of casino chips) and Wayne Newton posters you decorated your office with?

I really enjoyed that chapter CJ, Thanks!

Thanks Slug! :)

Before I forget, the title of Chapter 48 is "The Hand of Fate".

Okay, it's coming up on that time of year again: the GA Readers Choice Awards, including the King of Cliffhanger Awards.

Now, seeing as I'm ineligible for the 2010 voting (And also ineligible due to never using cliffhangers) I am thus completely impartial, and I thought it would be helpful to ponder our options before the campaign begins.

There are many potential candidates. All that's required is that they have (or will) posted a chapter or story in the calendar year of 2010, that contains a cliffhanger.

Any thoughts on whom to target... er, support? :)

B).........Haha! When I worked on the blueprints for the construction of the Stratosphere, the casino gave a bunch of us these cardboard pop-outs of the finished project. I guess no one really noticed it before. I popped it out like your supposed to, and placed it on the top shelf of my cubical, but on the back side of this, for all to see, in plain white, it looked like an arm raised fist giving everyone the finger. I got a lot of laughs for that, till one stupidvisor decided it was inappropriate. I played dumb and made him explain, while my co-workers laughed their ass's off. So I turned it around, nothing he could do then!!

ROFL! So you DID have a stratosphere model! I notice you are silent on the Wayne Newton posters issue. :P

Oh, and before I forget, here's a map of the route Trevor has planned. As you can see, there's a lot of empty ocean once he passes Rodrguez Island.
