EIGHT DAYS - Let the countdown begin ...

 

Summary: Detective Luke Snyder has to solve the mystery of the murders going around in Chicago. He has eight days to catch the serial killer in the town or else he would have to lose his life. What would be the outcome?

While he is busy on the case, he discovers his love for a guy named Noah Mayer ...

 

THE PLOT : The story is staged in the city life of Chicago. It basically revolves around the mystery of the serial murders that Luke has to solve. The time limit being just EIGHT DAYS for him, what he finds out or what problems he faces during that time, is what systematically arranged in the ten chapters of the story.

 

This is told mostly from Luke's POV. But, then there are some scenes focusing just on Noah. However, you will know the reason why it is more of a Luke POV story after reading it. I have tried making the story interesting keeping in mind the predilection of readers. I have given my best for the story and there's not just a one-man show in this, but it also has the efforts of my all time supporter and encourager Jackie a.k.a “sneeze” as her screen name goes. She has taken special efforts in making the story impeccable. So let me not forget to express gratitude towards her for everything she has done and is doing for me.

 

I hope you will comment on each one, b'coz that's what helps a writer to keep going knowing that his work is liked, right? So, please do comment every time you read a chapter.

 

WARNINGS :

 

* This is a totally Alternate Universe(AU) and Out-of-character(OOC) story, so don't expect any similarities with the show other than some of the characters.

 

* I am not a native of Chicago nor of the states, so things might seem off a bit, though I have tried my level best to avoid those kind of flaws.

 

* Being based on the murder-mystery plot, there are scenes that might disturb you. That is the reason I gave the rating as PG-13/R. Also, a bit over-swearing is used.

 

* There is a news article that you would come across in the story. This is written by me, totally fictional. Thus, it might sound unprofessional, since I am not a journalist.

 

* Some M/M romance, kiss scenes, foreplay; M/F sex scenes(mild) and making out and masturbation acts are described in between, just so you know.

 

* There are some characters using offensive names to insult the homosexuals, so watch out!

 

CHARACTERS :

 

Deeply passionate about his career at the age of 23, Luke Snyder has gotten in as an interning detective in one of the Crime Bureaus in Chicago. He is gay, out and proud; but single. He has high ambitions and he believes in fulfilling them. He is very confident and never fears taking up on any opportunities coming his way. Being a stern guy and serious in work, he suits well in his profession.

 

Noah Mayer is the name that brings love to Luke's life. The 23 year old guy, that Luke meets and gets attracted to, is handsome, loving and sweet person. They date each other and develop feelings for each other. You will know more about the character while you read the story.

 

Other ATWT Characters mentioned : Notable ones : Jack is the senior detective in the bureau Luke works, who happens to be Luke’s cousin. He serves as a great encouragement to Luke and also loves him dearly. He cares for him and his well-being. Though a detective, you will know him as a very kind man throughout the story. Charlene is Noah's mother and the only parent as he tells Luke, once. She is kind of mysterious and I think she will be hated most of the times by the readers due to her annoying behavior.

 

Recurring : Kevin Davis - works with Luke, Lily Snyder(Luke’s mother) , Col. Winston Mayer(Noah’s father), Mark Vero(Kevin’s cousin).

 

Mentioned : Holden Snyder(Luke’s father), Luke’s siblings - Faith, Natalie& Ethan, Lucinda Walsh(Luke’s maternal grandmother).
