some thoughts about chris nolan's batman

Recommended Posts

After seeing three movies and thinking it over, i think nolan has created the most human interpretation of batman. The angst was always there, but the stakes were not just about one city or one man, but human civilization itself.

We live in times of fear and constant warfare, not only between nations and groups, but among ourselves as individuals. For all his darkness, batman represents what separates man from self destruction, he is that hope.

The last movie was weaker than dark knight, but it held meaningful repercussions for using a lie to create peace (shades of George w. Bush era necessary evil).

Others may think differently declining the movies for lack of pulp and camp.
