I'm surprised you didn't mention his role in The Green Mile. To me, that is his most well known one.

...................... I agree his performance in 'The Green Mile' was more then worthy of the academy award he did not get. But it listed him as being 6'-4" I always thought he was taller or is Tom Hanks smaller then I thought?

I've always liked him. I'm sorry he's died so young Besides The Green Mile, I also remember him from The Whole Nine Yards and the short lived TV show The Finder.
