Despite their name, crab spiders are arachnids. 

 

First off, don't panic; crab spiders' venom is not poisonous to you (unless you are a bee or unless you happen to be allergic).

This is a species of jumping spider.  It has a range from Texas, through Baja California Sur and southern Mexico down to Panama.
