xxthatonegirlxx Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 how do you keep a friendship strong after one friend moves away and you can't see each other ofter??
Site Administrator Popular Post Graeme Posted November 7, 2014 Site Administrator Popular Post Posted November 7, 2014 Communication It's easier today with the ability to use the Internet for video chats (eg. Skype), but it all gets down to being able to continue to share your lives with each other. Just don't expect too much -- each of you will develop new friendships while the other one is away, and that's normal. Don't resent the fact that the other person is finding new friends, because that will poison what you have. Stay in touch with each other by whatever means you have available to you, and share. That's about all I can suggest. 6
FrenchCanadian Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 When I was 8, my best friend moved with his familly to Germany. Granted the time and technology was quite different twenty years ago that it is now, but at the time, we kept in contact through the old time letter, then with the time, it evolved to email, IM & skype. The point is, as Graeme well said, is to still talk and share the same things you used to, and just as important, to take the time.
