  3. He has been away all this time?
  4. What I remember from a news article I read.. is that the program analyses punctuation. The theory being that women will emphasise their sentences more with ?!?! splashing than men will. How true that is I dont know, though. It may work better when analysing conversation rather than a piece of text.
  5. Well I dont know much about american football. But Benji your typing there was just incredible. Thanks for the giggles!
  6. Washing up liquid and warm water for most things, dilute bleach if I want a bit of kick! If its something tough like a deep fat fryer theres usually a bespoke solution like bringing water and washing powder to the boil in it. That was very fun. Worked amzingly well, too. . For mould cleaning you need to use a fungicidal agent like has already been mentioned and tackle the cause of the growth. That might be poor ventilation, dampness or anything else.
  7. Ah yes, to clarify I wasnt asking for help or anything, just curious about what everybody thought about it. Telling the story of yourself is a different case, I mean inserting yourself into a fictional setting in a cameo role .
  8. Hello everybody! Ive just finished reading a long story which has a character named after the author and this lead me on to thinking: do any of you use yourself as a character in any of your stories? If you do, is it an idealised version of yourself or just normal you? Do you think it would be too obvious to use your own name or pseudonym for the name of the character or would you come up with a different name? If youre a reader; what do you think of this? :king:
  9. When you hit about 8000 you'll see that fever returning.. to get a 5 digit post count!
  10. Well this I dont think this is a phobia, but I hate having dirty hands. Particularly sticky things which I can feel, like jam or butter. Eugh. Maybe this is a phobia! Talking about blood which is still inside me. Makes me feel all yucky in my stomach. . If Im bleeding, thats fine. If someone else is bleeding and Im not, great! . I have an active imagination so I can wind myself up into being scared of anything for a while..
  11. I am eagerly anticipating it. Dan is my new Dom! Any thoughts on this up-and-coming chapter and what it will entail?
  12. Hehe thanks! Maybe you should get the
  13. $5? But thats like
  14. I thought that was the cause, however you can still run the firewall with the internet zone set to medium security. . Interesting! Having just read the zonealarm information, medium is a workaround they recommend, smug grin . Router (specifically: NAT) is the best line of defense, but I like to control the access of stuff thats already on my system too.
  15. I have never tried Haggis.. it sounds a bit weird. I think that black pudding might be some sort of English food, its made from blood and can be sausage shaped, never really had any inclination to try that either! I use the phrase "my cup of tea" too, though I tend to say it in English . Bubble and squeak is very nice, like the description Trebs posted says it is basically fried mashed potato with various chopped up leftover veg or meat. Its very easy to make. I think that the secret to making a good one is a very hot pan . Euw snails . I dont know if the common garden type snail that we have over here is the one you eat, they are a garden pest . My favourite British food is.. curry! . I also really like peppered German salami, its great.
  16. Wow real English food? This week I have had stir-fry (Chinese) and curry (asian though this one was Indian), by the end of the week I will have had stew (not sure), pizza (Italian), bolognaise (probably Italian with a name like that) and shepherds pie (not sure). I have no idea what authentic English food is.. we are a mix of a lot of culinary traditions from our colonial days and I regularly eat food originally eaten in many different places all over the world. That may be because as a family we have always cooked for ourselves much more than average, though. What do you think English food is? Perhaps Tea .
  17. Next goal to aim for: 44444 posts . I also enjoy seeing all numbers the same .
  18. This would be fine, and there would be no fault in it if there wasnt a key omission. The non-homogenous sphere is only stable when the majority of the mass is in the lower half of the sphere *because gravity is acting to a greater extent on the greater mass*. . Gravity acts at a strength inversely proportional to the distance between two objects, so while there is still gravity in space (the environment the earth is sitting in) we can say with reasonable accuracy that the only gravity acting on us in space is the attraction to the sun which is keeping us in a stable orbit. The planet is spinning, so no part of the earth is always facing the sun and experiencing the greatest gravity and so no part of the earth must be significantly heavier than the other. Because of the direction the planet spins, perhaps either the eastern or the western hemisphere will eventually turn out to be heavier than the other, but not the northern or southern ;p.
  19. A spiral light buld like this? http://www.abcblubs.com/pics/SL.JPG Ahhh oops this URL was wrong... http://www.abcblubs.com/pics/SL.JPG Try this one: http://www.abcbulbs.com/pics/SL.JPG
  20. baaaaaaaaadd. I think I have to go with the flock and add that I think Juanita will help pull the wool over Mr Trust's eyes when she finds out about Milo. Maybe she also will have a lot to do with the new wife - either exposing her as the evil demon she is or showing her good side to Milo? Probably going a bit too far with that guessing though .
  21. XP IE (I can cope with the occasional fit - theres a small button on the front of my case which i use ) MSN - all the people i want to talk to are on there, and I did not like Trillian AT ALL. mIRC - Works even when my internet is all but physically disconnected! Skype Creative Mediasource Winamp Bearshare for filesharing - with spyware removed . Word Photoshop/Gimp/Paint depending on how used to doing what i want to do in those programs i am. All that and I dont even LIKE Microsoft.
  22. Well, i used my Google-fu to look it up; http://images.google.co.uk/images?hl=en&q=...ron&sa=N&tab=wi Seems predominately red. How have all you yellow people bought it?
  23. Dude, if you think that you can't reconcile it with your mom and if you really are at this point ready to take that final, rather permenant, step then tell her about your sexuality. If she doesnt like it, then you can carry on with your intended course of action but if she is cool with it - then i hope it gives you reason to think twice. Disclaimer and anti flame statement.. : I in no way condone, or support suicide in any shape or form except for the terminally ill. Suicide in itself is not wrong. What IS wrong is the effect it has on the people who love you and care about you. Re-reading through the thread a common theme seems to be "just give it a few more days", and thats life frankly - just giving it a few more days, and a few more on top of that... I dont know you at all, but that isnt the point - You are not terminally ill, your suicide would be an unnecessary tragedy, not justified, and it upsets me that you have got to the point where you think it is the only way out. There is nothing wrong with you or what you are feeling, but you have to deal with it in a different way to what youre thinking of.
  24. Red, it definitely comes red as a powder. I havent had it that often (like maybe twice ) as its horribly expensive and the flavour can be duplicated or bettered using other spices.
  25. Ugh i have the same problem. It cramps my hand to write for a long time which is why i never achieved very good English grades - I always got penalised on the length (or lack of!) of any work which I did. I am learning to write neater and quicker... but if I have to write a lot for a long period of time it really sucks and it hurts my hand like hell. I feel for you!
