  1. I can definitely appreciate 'pretty' .
  2. Whats happening is that for some reason, and the reason is irrelevant, word has opened the file as a read-only copy. The reason it is irrelevant is because if you want to be able to edit it.. all you have to do is go File.. Save As, and save it somewhere else. That copy you CAN edit.
  3. The stuff I ordered yesterday arrived TODAY! Standard delivery is supposed to take 3-5 days . Will leave glowing feedback on this transaction when I can.
  4. Bought some blonding stuff in town to dye my roots! Bought some semi-permanent red and blue dyes on Amazon, they were shipped 2hrs and 38 minutes after I placed my order... way earlier than I expected. Im feeling better having got out of the house today too! Hair stuff all round!
  5. I have only driven a manual gearbox car.
  6. Sortof came out to my parents. Thats the last 'big' secret Ive been keeping from them. Woo! Now I dont have to think about how I say something before I say it.. so much..
  7. A skylit drive - Those cannons could sink a ship.
  8. Yeah I do that with my orange juice. Pour it out to find mould floating on the top. . I drink soft drinks as mixers, but thats the only time. I dont think sweetners are necessarily any worse for you than sugar. They are both 'sweet' tasting chemicals, sweetners just had the misfortune to be discovered last and so are demonised for being 'unnatural' or 'artificial'. It really bugs me when ignorant people slam something for having chemicals in it. I am drinking coffee with 1 spoon of sugar in it at the moment!
  9. - received a really pithy anecdote from our very own Drewbie... something to live by .. : when a guy is an ass and hot it doesn't matter anymore he's just an ass. Which I thought was great. - met a new and interesting guy today. Cute, in a rugged sort of way!
  10. Cool, I had no idea either.
  11. The liking of cheese is a very controversial topic! Some dismiss it as mere mouldy milk and unfit for consumption while others eat only cheese for the whole of their lives! Which are you?
  12. Me too! . 2 1/2?! I'd have left after 45 minutes at the most hehe. Unless there were other people there and I had stuff to do .
  13. Hehe my social life is quite organised.. probably because I am available to IM quite a lot. One of my pet peeves is people who say they will turn up at a specific time somewhere and then not doing or turning up really late. Thats why I like to organise stuff where I can, so people cant say they didnt know about anything. Hehe. My academic and personal life.. not so organised! I dont like talking on the phone, I 'er' and 'uhmmm' and I find it hard to think properly when Im talking on it. Im getting better at it, though . Sometimes I have 90 minute plus conversations with people I know well .
  14. I like it because there are actually less expectations for me of how I should behave. I dont have to pretend to be a womanising, lecherous football loving pervert that I often see straight men acting as. It goes without saying that there are exceptions to that. I can just be 'normal', myself, and most people will attribute it to my sexuality but actually, no, its just that other people have corrupted their expections of male 'normality'. I am more normal than they are. I also like being able to explore different sides of me, feminine and masculine. It would be much harder to do that and get away with it were I straight. I also enjoy the freedom to tell offensive jokes about this minority we belong to. The shock turning to laughter on people's faces that a gay man would tell such a joke is great. Plus, I like being fabulous!
  15. When I read the title I was expecting some poor disabled kid with a bone condition or something. .. pleasantly surprised..
  16. I personally have used it for that purpose! Desperate for the toilet, realising that there was no toilet paper in the flat and none to be 'had' from public toilets for miles! Someone in my flat was a reader (for comedy im sure!), and it was very handy .
  17. If I want to know something or convey something in the near future which is not urgent I will text. This means I usually text. Rarely do I ever call because I've often planned ahead and arranged all the details of whatever is happening over MSN the previous evening or earlier. So often my organisational communication consists of 'where are you?' type texts, or 'are you still on for tonight' type texts. When I want to just chat, i'll text because its easier for me and I can just put the 'conversation' down while I go do something else. It means I can be more efficient with my time if I take 2 minute breaks out of whatever I am doing so I can text. If I called I'd have to drop everything and just talk. Boring.
  18. Hehe. I dont think 'belief' is necessary in UFOs because I think they are quite plausible . It sounds like the pilot had a good adventure though .
  19. Quoting from ages ago but I didnt see this thread when it was first active because I didnt post . My posting is primarily in the soapbox, not particularly because I enjoy conflict but because I dont have to be comfortable to disagree with people. Recently I've started posting in the less conflicty areas of the forums so I am apparently becoming more at ease here. Perhaps that is because I have got to know more people here than I did before, mostly because I see familiar people in Chat a lot and it is nicer to get to know people in real time. My original reason for not posting was because I felt that I might say something to incriminate my real life identity here. My name here is actually a pseudonym, which makes it a pseudonym of a pseudonym (my normal internet name) . Thats not really necessary anymore, I dont fear being outed by my activities on this site because I've become less concerned about people finding out about this aspect of my life as I've grown older and more independant. Sometimes I find nothing to post on in the forums because a lot of the content here is orientated towards American readers, and while I find common interests in some threads despite that.. it is only despite. That is probably the biggest excluding factor for me.
  20. That'd be a UFO or something (perhaps a stray weather balloon?) and this is scientifically plausible.
  21. Yep, I like it but would understand if some people didnt. Optional would be best . An optional which remembers your settings, too, so people wouldnt have to minimise it every time they refreshed the page.
  22. UFOs are plausible. A lot of stuff can be explained by memory association or imagination. The other stuff can be explained by random physical effects. Like air pressure change. I dont see the need to explain it with some imagined phenomenon based on an unproven concept.
  23. No idea! Personally, a sneeze is just something you do.. its not attractive. Can be quite disgusting if there is splatter. Lol. Oh! They'd love you, interrupted sentences were one of the things which they seem to like. Sneeze in public somewhere!
  24. So I was linked this forum and I thought I'd share it with you all. It made me giggle. http://www.sneezefetishforum.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=32523 (Its clean all the way through). Does anybody here have a sneeze fetish?
  25. Welcome . If you join live chat you'll get to associate with such socialites as Drewbie, myself, others.
