  1. Per this article in New York Magazine, the statistic is actually that gays are 50% more likely to be left-handed than straights. If memory serves, 10% of people are lefties, so I guess 15%-ish of gays should be lefties. Maybe Barbara misspoke. Andrew
I eat," "I do eat," "I am eating"). Aussi, je m'excuse pour l'absence des accents dans ce qui precede, mais c'est presque quatre heurs du matin, ici, et je suis trop fatigue et paresseux pour m'en occuper. Anyway, enough French: as for the whole thing about "conflicting," "I'm conflicting" clearly doesn't make sense, but either "I'm conflicted" or "I have conflicting feelings" would be fine. In both cases, though, "conflict[ed/ing]" functions as an adjective, not a verb, so conjugating doesn't enter into it. Adjectives can't be conjugated, to my knowledge. Also, awesome chapter. Andrew
  3. Not sure about anyone else, but if Dom worked a couple of hours less, each week, in order to have more time to write, I, for one, would be willing to pitch in a few bucks to a fund to compensate him for the time. Andrew
  4. I'm sorry for bringing it up. I'm just bit of a culinary snob, but I didn't mean for it to become a whole thing. Sex is good, too. Andrew
  5. So yay for this chapter. I was particularly excited during the bit with the pirate costumes... my birthday is Internation Talk Like A Pirate Day, and since finding that out, I've become a big fan of cheesy pirate imitations. And the sex was good, too... My one little criticism: gazpacho is served cold. That's okay, though. Andrew
  6. Yeah, I know what you mean about the whole Facebook thing. A fair number of my friends know about me, but I haven't yet worked up the guts to actually list something on my Facebook (that section is blank at present). There are just so many people that would be able to read it, and if it got back to my parents, bad things would happen. I'm from a religious family, too, only mine are Mormon, so, as you might imagine, they probably wouldn't respond well. Andrew
  7. This occured to me, too, but I don't think his Parenting class is during lunch. Perhaps Switching lunches forced him to rearrange his schedule, so he's now taking one of his other classes during what used to be lunch, and Parenting is replacing the time slot of *that* class. Andrew
  8. Actually, I really felt like this chapter was the beginning of the denoument for DD. Most of the major issues that have come up in the story are beginning to be resolved. Rory has found a guy, found some closure with Aaron, is starting to fix things up with his grandmother, and is opening the package, which I think will be the thing that allows him to finally find peace with regard to his mother's death. There are certainly things left to resolve (figuring out who Luke's secret love interest is, Rory deciding whether or not to stay there or go back to Alice, etc.), but I felt like this chapter was really the beginning of the end. Andrew
  9. We actually don't, anymore, as they were all struck down, last year (Lawrence v. Texas, if anyone's interested). Unfortunately, as that prick, Alito, will probably get confirmed, this was likely the last of the pro-gay rulings we can expect from the U.S. Supreme Court, at least for the time being. Andrew
  10. I see Rory as being a bit like this: http://www.imdb.com/gallery/granitz/2851/E...%20Lou%20Taylor Maybe that's just me, though. Andrew
