  1. Eleven Kyle had tried his best to calm Jared down after the nightmare, but it still took over an hour before Jared was calm enough to go back to sleep. Kyle's sandwich lay forgotten as he held Jared in his arms, trying to keep the nightmares at bay. Kyle hadn't said anything to Jared yet, but he knew that Jared was going to have to talk to the police again and tell them what he had remembered. Despite the fact the he hurt for Jared and the nightmares, a part of Kyle felt relieved. From what Jare

    Chapter Nine

Nine Kyle reached the hospital, still thinking about the letter than Matt left for him at the apartment. If Matt hadn't done it then why would he have confessed? It just didn't make sense no matter how Kyle looked at it. The more he thought about the more he figured that Matt had to have been the one behind everything. There was no other explanation. He quickly shut off his bike and locked it up before heading into the hospital. On his way to Jared's room he passed the doctor who stopped and l

    Chapter Eight

Eight The voice grated across Kyle's already frayed nerves. He personally didn't find anything fun about the fact that Bubba wanted to rape him. Thinking quickly, Kyle decided that if he was going to go down he was not going to go down without a fight. When he felt the hand grab his hair he brought his arm up and knocked it away, fighting not to wince as the move jerked his own hair. "Oh, I got myself a feisty one," Bubba said, grabbing Kyle and pulling his struggling body off the cot. "You kn

    Chapter Seven

Seven Kyle felt as though he was in a daze as he heard the cop reading him his Miranda rights. He couldn't figure out how they could possibly think that he had anything to do with the attacks on Jared. He loved Jared too much to ever want to willfully hurt him. The officers voice finally penetrated Kyle's thoughts though he wasn't exactly sure what had all been said. "Do you understand these rights as they have been read to you?" "Huh?" Kyle managed to choke out past the lump in his throat.

    Chapter Six

Six Three days later, Kyle sat next to Jared's bed, Jared's hand clasped gently in his own. His thumb brushed lightly over Jared's knuckles as Kyle watched the man he loved. Kyle had been praying constantly that Jared would wake up from this, but so far his prayers had not been answered. Earlier that morning Jared have finally been moved out of the Intensive Care Unit and moved to a private room, where his friends could visit him a bit more frequently, not that he knew they were there. Kyle had

    Chapter Five

Five Kyle was sitting on the cold pavement with Jared's head cradled in his lap when the ambulance showed up. He didn't remember calling for them but he was extremely grateful to see the flashing lights. Kyle had never really been one for praying but just the same he sent a prayer upwards for Jared's recovery. Kyle watched helplessly as the paramedics took Jared's vitals before putting a neck brace on him and loading him onto a stretcher. Kyle had just started following the stretcher into the

    Chapter Ten

Ten Kyle couldn't stop pacing in front of Jared's hospital room window. He was finally going to be able to take Jared home; anyways, as long as all the tests came back normal. The longer it took for the doctor to bring Jared back, the more anxious Kyle got. He was just sure that something else was going to happen that would make taking Jared home impossible. Between trying to figure out who was behind the attacks, he still wasn't completely convinced it wasn't Matt, and waiting for Jared to be r

    Chapter Four

Four "You have to give it a little bit of time, we'll get it figured out," Matt said. He was sitting across from Kyle and together they were trying to figure out a way to get Jared to move out of his current accomodations. Though he didn't particularly care for Jared after everything that had happened, he didn't want to see him living in the kind of place that Kyle had told him about. "I don't know how we're going to manage it Matt, he is bound and determined that he won't move into the spare

    Chapter Three

Three Even after his talk with Kyle, Jared still couldn't seem to get to sleep. He continued to sit out in the living room for an extra hour just thinking about everything that had transpired since he had been back in Ogden. He had never thought that Kyle would actually really listen to why he had left when he did, and though he had hoped that he would, he was still surprised by it. He did not blame Kyle for his reaction when the met face to face in the bar that night and he would have given a

    Chapter Two

Two When Jared was finally released from the hospital, Kyle took him straight to the apartment. He knew that he needed to find a way to get back to the bar and get his motorcycle. After helping Jared up the stairs and into the apartment he picked up the phone to call Matt. He figured that Matt could take him to get his Harley and Chelsea could stay and keep an eye on Jared. "Hey Matt," he said when his best friend picked up the phone. "I was wondering if you could run over here and run

    Chapter One

One After a long, tiring day at the construction site, Kyle Blackner walked through the front door of his second story apartment. Like most days, Kyle's plans included a quick dinner, a shower, and going straight to bed. While flipping through the days mail, he came across a letter with no return address. He looked closer at the neat curving letters on the envelope, trying to figure out who it could be from. "Well, I guess I won't know until I open it," he mumbled aloud. After tearing the lett

    Eternity

After walking out on Kyle Blackner two years before, Jared Maloney walks back into Kyle's life unexpectedly. Turns out Kyle isn't the only one harboring resentment towards the man who walked out on him with no explanation. A series of attacks designed to keep them apart manage to bring them back together. Can Kyle and Jared rebuild the life they once shared or will the psycho after Jared succeed in keeping them apart for all of eternity.
  13. Both myself and my mom use the Nook. We were going to get a Kindle, but based on some things that we found out, we decided to go with the Nook. We could have been told wrong, but from what we understand, for the Kindle, you can only buy books from Amazon. The other nice thing about the Nook, is other than coming out with the Nook Color, rather than create a new "Nook" constantly, there are updates that are downloaded to the Nook with software updates.

    Chapter 1

This story was a little fast paced but enjoyable nonetheless. Would have loved to have known more about the characters and their past that you mention, but know that sometimes that's not possible. Good job!

    Chapter 8

I've read this story before, but still found myself getting into the story. I especially loved how you portrayed John's inner turmoil about what to do in regards to his feelings about Jeremy! Great job!!

    Chapter 1

Enjoyed the story overall, but have an editing suggestion for you.... you might want to do a search and replace some words. My guess would be that you did a search for "Tim" to replace with "Jim" ... you have many words, such as "sometimes" that are spelled "someJimes". Essentially everywhere that should be "tim" is "Jim"

    Night Walker

Hi Sam! Thank you so much for taking the time to read the story and comment! I love to hear from my readers and I have to say I love hearing that my story was the first you read! It's funny that you mention about this story possibly being able to be revised into a novel length story. To be honest, I have seriously considered it but have yet to come up with a decision on whether or not I will. Welcome to GA! If you need any help finding your way around just let me know and I'll be happy to help you!!! ~Renee
  19. Richard took a long swig of the beer in front of him as he moped in the club where he had first saved Simon. He hated the word moped, but that was the only explanation for what he had been doing for the last three weeks. He had known that it would take Simon time to come to grips with what he had learned, but he had hoped to see Simon before now. He was beginning to think that Simon’s not showing up gave him his answer, but he kept hoping that he was wrong. “Hey, can I buy you another?”
  20. Simon couldn’t stop the sigh that escaped his lips as he loaded the last of the dishes into the dishwasher and started the cycle. It had been just over two weeks since he had run into Richard at the mall and he still had a hard time concentrating. His mind kept going back to the passionate kisses both at the restaurant and in the car at the mall. There were even times that he berated himself for stopping Richard’s advances, but he knew that he had done the right thing. He needed to learn mor
  21. Richard glanced around him as he left the clothing department store located at the far end of the mall. He honestly hadn’t really had to buy anything new, but had decided to go ahead and purchase a few new black t-shirts and jeans. It had been a month since he had seen Simon, and for some reason it didn’t set well with him. His uneasiness over being away from Simon only reinforced his belief that the other man could be his mate. He could have just shown up at Simon’s house, but he didn’t wan
  22. Simon struggled to keep his hands from trembling as he looked at the non-descript door that would open into the club. He had been studiously avoiding the place ever since Richard had told him about what had almost happened, and in essence he hadn’t actually been back since the night of the attempted rape, which had been nearly a month ago. The only thing he could figure was that his subconscious had been trying to protect him from either realizing what had happened or from the same thing happe
  23. Richard allowed his thoughts to wander as he sat at a small table in the coffee shop, his cup of java sitting forgotten in front of him. It had been two weeks since he had saved Simon from the attempted date rape and ever since he had been unable to get the other man out of his mind. Simons scent permeated his nostrils. Whenever he closed his eyes at night, his mind was overwhelmed by dreams of Simon and what his instincts told him they could have together. The only thing he regretted was
  24. A haze of smoke seemed to envelop Simon as he stepped through the heavy metal doors into the darkened atmosphere of the night club. He took a glance around as he started through the throng of bodies that were moving on the dance floor and let loose a slight chuckle as he watched one guy who had absolutely no rhythm try to move with the music. Out of habit he tried to see if he recognized anybody but the place was so crowded because of it being a Friday night that he couldn’t make out very many
