  1. Welcome Pennywise! We may be related. I'm often referred to as pound foolish! Be welcome!
  2. Thanks. I loved Vienna but I'm glad to be back home as well. The Palace was awesome. We also had a dinner function in the former home of Johann Strauss, another beautiful venue. I found a 500 Euro note on the floor during the event and received more than 500 Euro worth of accolades when I found the owner and returned it. I thought it odd and a little disconcerting that one should be recognized for doing the right thing. It makes one ask, what have we come to when doing what is right is not the norm but something recognizable. *sigh*
  3. That was Sammuel Clemmons, more commonly known as Mark Twain. He also said, "When I was 17 I thought my father didn't know anything. When I was 21, I was AMAZED at how much he had learned in such a short time."
  4. Well you know that old saying, "Once a king always a king, but once a (k)night is never enough.
  5. For those of you following my trip, Vienna has been AWESOME! And the show at the palace was incredible. I fly out in about 6 hours. The Lichtenstein Garden Palace took my breath away when I stepped inside. I have to wonder though . . . I took a dump there, so can I say that I sat on the Royal Throne of Lichtenstein? Hmmm, things to ponder.
  6. Here here! Well said.

    What Do I Say?

An awesome depiction of the father of a normal family who had never had to deal with someone gay in their life. It's a loving family who was less concerned with the fact that their child was gay and more with how to proceed with no example before them of how to interact as a loving parental guide. They, as a family added a new chapter to their parenting manual and were beginning to fill it it. As it should be with ANY parental figure, they started to write this new adventure: Begin with unconditional love . . . Thanks so very much for this wonderful piece. r
  8. Welcome Ney4Bey! A lot of great reading here. Great people too. Just be careful around that Andy78, at least until he has your "safe" word. He has velvet whips!
  9. Just as I would expect from you David. Brilliant! Simply brilliant. And a story so vast you would expect loose ends; I saw none. And you know I do not like mixed gen stories; but you made this one acceptable, even over the hurdles "I" set for such stories. It was kept respectful and caring. Well done sir. My hat's off to you. It's not changed my mind about mixed gen relationships but you presented it in a way that I was not truly offended. In short, I could respect the character's beliefs even though I didn't agree with them. And for ME, that's saying something. Thanks for your hard work. I admire your abilities. r
  10. You never cease to amaze me in the way you are able to weave the modern with the mystical or magical. Being able to weave the fabric of a story so well in both cultures is incredible and truly a gift. And I wait for the time when you weave all the stories together. So many dovetail already. Masterful!

    Chapter 30

An outstanding chapter. I KNEW Clinton was the right choice. And I'm glad I was right. And I think his parents will be alright too. I also called his dad knowing. I think he'll turn it around and be an advocate. In a really gruff way of course. He won't be a supporter but he also won't let anyone else do anything improper. And CJ's ass is grass and the coach is going to be the lawn mower. And when Jenny pulls out the Ace in the hole and CJ's dad doesn't get re-elected all will be right with the world. Now the big question will be which boy will Jenny end up with? Will it be CJ? She's always had a crush on him but he was such an ass. Perhaps when he comes down several pegs things will be different. A great story, thanks. Already waiting for the next chapter. It promises to be just as exciting. Clinton's parents coming home, CJ's parents attempt at retribution and how will the screwl be divided?
  12. A great chapter Mark. And Caroline and the kids on-board? I wonder how the Admiralty will respond to that. And all the ship's captains seeing Caroline on-board as Valiant's flag was dipped. Or will St. Vincent preclude the Admiralty's admonishments by interceding and claiming it was his idea as he found her so charming. OR, is something so important pressing that it won't even be mentioned. And I can see William at the tailor's now getting his very own uniform to pretend he is dad. And wouldn't that be great if Lord Spenser saw Granger holding his mini-me in uniform. I suspect Spenser would round up a ship for the boy to play with, I mean after all, isn't that what he does? Give ships to daddies? What a wonderful story and a romantic chapter. Cheers on this one Mark! Well done. Going to be an interesting Sunday. Easter sharing Hitler's birthday and the rest of the world getting stoned to celebrate 4-20
  13. Hey, I like frog legs what can I say.
  14. LOL, Got a link? Sounds . . . "ribbetting"!
  15. A great chapter. Wait till the mage finds out about Zosa!
  16. I found it to be an awesome chapter. I think the "slug it out" aspect of a larger ship to limit the possibilities of adventure. Rather like sneaking up on someone while riding an elephant. The adventures in the smaller more maneuverable ships have been more exciting. But having said that, Granger is older now and with that comes a larger ship. Presumably because as a captain get's older his eyesight begins to fail and they have to give him a larger ship that's easier to see when returning drunk. Seriously, I think the battles will be bigger but perhaps the adventures will be less covert. But that doesn't mean it is any less of a story, just that it is evolving like the master of the ship. I'm loving every minute of it.

    Chapter 29

Oh shit the fat is in the fire now. Will he deny it and say that he forced the kiss on him or will he man up and tell him the truth? *sigh* Somehow I don't think he has the balls to do it. But time will tell won't it. It would be cool if he stood up to him. Together they could weather the storm. And what if his dad stuck up for him? Now THAT would be an abrupt left turn in the story wouldn't it? The next chapter is going to burst into flames the second you post it. lol
  18. Welcome Irritable1. Hmm, an interesting name. Are you my wife? lol, be welcome!
  19. I guess that may be what I'm anticipating. I've always admired the cunning and clever side of Granger. Walking up and just slugging it out seems rather common and Granger is anything but common. Been thinking about ship life. And if you're not in the tropics then is seems like one would always be cold. Perhaps I'm just thinking that way because winter is kicking and screaming on its way out. But there is hope! I'm back to Vienna for another show. The last time I didn't have time to see the Lictenstein castle, this time my show is IN it so I'm pretty stoked. Vienna in the springtime! Off around the 24th. I can't wait.

    Chapter 27

Well perhaps there's a redeeming quality in Greg after all. I still don't like him. And I think that all Clinton needs are some new friends and someone who loves him enough to make him feel whole. It would be better if he wasn't in love with a straight ass hole though. He's obviously in love with CJ. And I suppose CJ has let him have a taste now and then if for nothing else but to keep him devoted to him. *sigh* But with Clinton at least you know where he's at. Greg . . . . . . . I still don't like him. Don't trust him. Time will tell.
