  1. Conservation of mass only works in a perfectly closed system, meaning absolutely no outside interference. This leaves only the universe as a whole or some theoretical perfect vacuum as possibilities. Conservation of mass and energy breaks down when studied anyway, they just use it as a baseline because it works outside of theoretical physics. For your purposes, however, I'd say that the conservation of mass is probably the least of the issues you face when turning a man into a frog, but I'll go along --> If you're to turn a man into a frog, you're right in that the whole of the person could not go into it, so the rest of him would have to do -something else-. When we renew ourselves, the cells do not come back a little worse, the individual cells are the exact same. Your cells replace themselves by division, and can divide only a given number of times, after which they stop. New cells are constantly being made, while old cells are constantly being destroyed. As one gets older, however, the rate at which new cells are made decreases as more and more cells stop dividing. Thus, you have 'less' 'healthy cells;, as opposed to 'less healthy' 'cells'. : P If we completely stopped renewing ourselves we would wear out extremely quickly. If you somehow managed to avoid any kind of injury, which would cause you to bleed out, or sickness, where you would run out of T cells faster than an aids victim, your skin wouldn't last very long and you'd die of chafing.
  2. Quantum Mechanics isn't a singular theory but an entire field of study in physics like classical mechanics, focused on atomic and subatomic systems. It does contradict much of prior physics, and thus forms a large rift in the scientific community. Honestly, it's all very complicated and I don't want to get into it now : P.
  3. Ingesting hair.
  4. Morality is a code by which people adhere to, and therefore isn't an illusion unless there really are no people that adhere to this code. Whether or not a person is naturally evil, external influence and fear can and often do lead to a moral existence. This fear causes people to think in ways that are socially 'safe', or otherwise moral behavior in most cases.
  5. People can take offense to it as much as they want, but it is a totally legitimate question. If femininity is the degree to which a person has attributes associated typically with women, why is it that so many gay men are more feminine than straight men? That was a rhetorical question by the way, I'm not looking for an answer and don't expect one. I'm merely trying to point out that it shouldn't be considered hostile to wonder about the nature of such a large scale societal trend, so long as it isn't gone about in a deprecatory manner. I brought up that same question once in a sociology class and was immediately attacked as a homophobe, which is strange considering I'm quite positive I said nothing negative about effeminate gay guys. Most of my gay friends and former lovers are effeminate, and I certainly don't have any problems with them ; ).
  6. I also have to agree with Graeme on this one. While it is still reading in the strict definition of the word, and thus exercises the same section of your brain that you would while reading your favorite novel or paper, it isn't to the same degree. With the amount of poor spelling and grammar that is common on the internet the larger merit of 'lighter reading' is lost.
  7. If sticking it in and wiggling it around is her idea of sex, someone should really have a chat with her husband.
  8. Possible contribution to a fellow student? Don't mind if I do. I just hope my strange Canadian perspective can be of some help : P
  9. Have to agree with you. I'm in Atlantic Canada, and there isn't any snow left on the ground where I am. The world has gone mad.
  10. Yes, but you forgot apologizing to the floor for such a forward gesture, and then apologizing to anyone who may have seen the accident.
  11. I'm scared of your fear of wisdom. I wonder if there is a specific phobia for this. Anyway, I think you're worried about the wrong thing. Steph's sex scenes have always been entertaining and intense. I find myself fearing the anticipated explicit kink material in tonto's box (and by the way: Tonto's box. Really?). Or hope that I don't verbally smash you into mush :2hands: Steph is my favorite character from this series. I fail to see the negative at being inside the head of a witty and intelligent narrator. Steph's light attitude, coupled with his sharp and analytical mind, make up about half the reason I love the CAP saga as much as I do. And Mark A., I hope you know that not all of youth Canada is so close minded
  12. This woman sounds exactly like my grandmother, but I'm pretty sure she hasn't been down your way recently. I really think it is possible that she just does not enjoy sex in general. I have a strangely large number of asexual friends, so I can vouch for the fact that it's possible.
