I have this fantasy where Steff bankrupts Conrad Black, Donald Trump and Rupert Murdoch ( and has a threesome with Lachlan).... just think how much better this century would be! Failing that we have Mr Arbours writing.... almost as satisfying.....

It is interesting how our beloved hero is two different but overlapping characters; Grainger at sea and Grainger on land. He is an interesting (and lovable) character in both settings. Good to see him back. While I do like "the other story", this one is my passion! Thank you.

From experience those "concerns" are exactly the concerns any charter would have with what appears to be "wannabe A-list power brokers". Crew and staff stress levels would be through the roof. Of course we know they are all angels; v sexy angels!

"Talk"? I am assuming that's a euphemism! So far the majority of "talking" has been done naked in variations of horizontal! So far these three have taken communication via the "queens english" to whole new levels.

That was positively exhausting! I may get annoyed at being the age I am, but frankly the energy, angst and turmoil of being those three... makes me glad I am passed it all. In my own case, sex as competition has been replaced by uxorious ( or is it maritorious?) wallowing in the arms of someone whose been there for the better part of three decades - somehow this seems far less stressful and more liveable!

Thank you for the sentiments regarding our late Queen. A truly remarkable woman. As far as our Lord Grainger, only he could manage to find and collect a large set of genitals, together with their support system, in Copenhagen harbour when he was merely there as postman! I look forward to our Norwegian's recovery and his assets put to use! I suppose I should have first congratulated Grainger on the improvements in the seamanship of ship and crew, however the naked Norweigen took my mind off the achievement! Great writing. Thanks.

What complicated love lives these people lead. I am not sure whether at my best (worst?) things were this complex in my late teens/20s. Serial monogamy has a lot going for your mental health if nothing else. Phone tech; little do they know what's coming! Thanks for a great Saturday morning surprise!

Interesting that you raised that peculiarly US thing of tying health insurance to employment, but my comment is rather why would people as wealthy as CJ bother with insurance? Surely they get a better deal paying cash? I like the last two words....as if you'll be able to leave what must be family just out there😀

This is a great chapter in the development of Will, however there are so many balls in the air (literally and figuratively) sometimes I just go with the flow... Great writing to keep such complexity interesting and me, for one, wanting more!

Stef's thought processes and conceptual ability is really amazing. He really is a character where the hamster is spinning those wheels. Having Will as a character to ask the questions that us readers would ask were we given access to such lofty heights gives glimpses into the operation of the big end of town. Will's asides on sexual proclivities, expertise, looks and possibilities, just adds an extra something to it all. Thanks. A great read.

I have a feeling that this story is a genuine generational change in attitudes to sexual orientation/experimentation. Not sure what generation you belong to, Scrubber6620, but mine (younger boomer....) at the age I was in "college", this conversation could not have happened. Then gay blokes were accepted (just), but experimentation....it happened but no one discussed it...ever. Now, based on my two sons experiences and conversations, the conversation Maddox had its quite possible.

Not quite two lovers; one lover (dearest Grainger) and a random family each of whom you have sex with when they deign to speak to you. But yes I get your drift! While news from home was good, and no news from St Vincent troubling, what else did the packet contain? The boy will be an interesting addition and how far do we think Graingers going to get with Anson....😜 Great chapter, thanks

Well that chapter covered some ground and without a hint of "but wait...there's more!" 😀 Will certainly let the boomer generation know he ain't no smart alec, but some one who listens and speaks with a pov. The parental "talk" is one of those things that just never goes to plan either as parent or child. And as far as "coming out" scenes shouting "we kissed " across the dining table has to be somewhat unique!
