Will could make a good lawyer: he picks up what people mean from what they say, when what they are saying is sometimes not what they mean. Not sure about Wil's dad and Jake. These all engrossing passionate relationship can easily blow up in a fit of rage and misunderstanding. (Taylor/ Burton for example) Great characters and a good read, as ever!

Four pages of comments have said it all, but I'd like to add... An author inserting themselves as a characters dealer, just has to be a first! Congrats, and looking forward for more! Regards

A neat chapter for us Grainger-lovers, and something to warm our man's bed! What a wonderful outcome! The Duke-viscountess dispute sounds upsetting. I could imagine it follows king vs PoW camps. The colours of Granger cabin verge on bordello-like (not having been in any bordellos, its what I think a bad taste bordello would look like!) Now let's see how Granger performs with a slightly raised head! Thank you. Much appreciated!

Never read a story that was so happy as we stroll to the cliff.....

Ah! Well I am glad at least one person passed my cunning test! 🤭🤭🤭

Yes, if the Norgh Koreans or Iranians or any other dubious country approaches him, he'd better be on the next plane to anywhere; he'd be a wanted man...and not in a good way by Oz! The safe was an interesting point. That and the sick mother. I see a three witches event ( 1st Act Hamlet) in the next day or so. A cunning plotter, Mr Carlos, a very cunning plotter. Thanks

Aside from usage issues like mere cliffies... Liebe having a say in her own clothes? Really? Nope, no way. My partner agreed year 8 or 9 was when he was first allowed to choose, I was a bit earlier, perhaps aged 13 or 14. My two boys probably had their opinions asked (and appropriately ignored) until 15. But then we were/are all boys....girls get away with anything....

How strange; from exactly the same story my gut was viscerally the opposite. Sounds like we are reading a seriously good sonofabitch author!! And this is despite me seeing that I had a new Mark Arbour to read, thought it had to be about Grainger, so saved it for bed.... only to find it was the other.... but still a remarkable other indeed. I just to find something else in bed.... sigh....

That's one messed up dude. Will is really becoming the sane sensible intelligent member of the next generations. I'm keen to find out what is the cause of the divorce. Mark, you certainly toss some bombs into this family!! Thanks.

5% for 500k. In 2004. I could have almost done it! But like everyone else reading this story, I didnt! Hmm peter thiel. One of those people who went from mildly disagreeable to out and out f'wit the more money he got together. Interesting that Will is taking Steff's "sensible risk taking" attitude, compared to the others "cautious with what we have" philosophy.... Enjoyable, thanks.

And the Grainger stamp is put on yet another ship! He'll start to get a reputation! A wonderful outing for our beloved hero, again his own master, with a crew to lick into shape, so to speak. It has occurred to me that when Mr Arbour decides to send our beloved hero to meet his eternal lover in the sky I do hope that episode comes with therapy sessions. My Lord Grainger is the second longest relationship I have had. Even my husband is aware of my "sacred time" when a new episode arrrives! His departure (Graingers, that is) will be met with a considerable outpouring of grief (of course I'd be sad if my husband goes too, but one can generally find another husband) Meanwhile Mr Arbour; write on! 😘

"It has its moments. Problem’s now we’re on another mailing list, and they’ll keep asking for money on a regular basis.”" 🤦♂️ If even 10% of the world's pop had that as it's major problem.... You're a great writer Mr Hazday! Thoroughly enjoy the misguided behaviours of your 0.1 per centers! 😁 (if you haven't guessed, I do so love my soap box!)

He's certainly "avant", just not sure avant of what.....
-
Mr Arbour doesn't do "tricks", he does carefully cultivated plot twists usually enacted while distracting us with hunky men having uninhibited sex.😉

Patrick is such a screwed up, confused but somehow occasionally likeable character. I get the feeling Will likes him, but Patrick needs Will. I'd suggest there will be more drama/tears ( before and after bedtime) with those two. Another excellent extension to the saga. Thanks.

"Parents" and "spontaneous trip". Nope. Mutually exclusive, non sequiteur. They are up to something.... Intriguing twist, looking forward to the "resolution"!

Have to agree with Pickuptoy! Nothing like a decent dose of Grainger with breakfast (read into that what you may) before what will be a truly shitty day at work. Having done the long distance relationship thing ( 3 years trans pacific), I know what separations are like and Mr Arbour you describe the physical symptoms well. Of course Grainger is worse off than me, I just needed 2k, a convenient 747 and 31 hours later I was back in the arms....he has a combination of history and distance to overcome (and a wife....) Thanks again. Your writing is much appreciated.

I knew there is a reason why I don't wear a watch..... Great read, glad our 2nd favourite people are back. That round table went way better than I thought. Grand is a good bloke to have around. This family post him will not be anything like the same.... Thanks

Welcome back! Hope your life slows enough that you can get back to your truefaison d'etre: entertaining us! Good to hear from Will and see he has a moral compass re racism. Not being "as good" at shallow sex is a compliment, I think! Again, thrilled to have you back...🥰
