That he has had the thought that he could have the same or similar affliction as his mother means that he is much closer to any recovery than she has been throughout this entire story.
Great story, excellent writing as ever
Reading this on christmas day in australia! Bridget could not possibly get an eviler. I am so much not a believer in capital punishment, but i could honestly make an exception for her; preferably strung out on a beach, naked, to be feasted on by crabs.... slowly!
The "typical" australian christmas meal is prawns and crayfish, however my family having done this once or twice have reverted to turkey this year. Always too much of everything. This is the fifth year of my boy being in Oz for christmas. Hes still not happy with the no snow, swimming, tropical thing, but i make sure he enjoys himself :-)
Somehow i left that chapter feeling completely manipulated. JJ has become so self centred even by the low standards of most teen prodigy sportspeople. Robbie is just plain weird. And Darius is "involved" in a way i find exceptional. And the "what about madie" seemed like a bolt from the blue. i feel al the pieces have been scattered and i have yet to reconnect them.
Perhaps its too many tropical christmas parties!
great to have the two boys back. particularly with bridget that much closer to her comeuppance.
sad that bridgets evil influence is spread so far and so wide. julie seemed such a sweet gel.....
not looking forward to the end of the series and its completely wacko time sequencing!
thanks for the entertainment.
C
because i have travelled for work and pleasure i have vIsited a few countries.
i have not visited any countries in Africa or south america. other than that i have visited the majoroity of countries in western europe (except Sewden, Norway and Russia), most of eastern europe. only iran and jordan in the middle east. se asias except Burma laos and only india on the sub continent. also have yet to visit the 'stans and mongolia. i have done a few pacific islands, but none of the american ones!
i do love travel!
many years ago i had a severe crush on a married straight man, i eventually sort of got over it. then a couple of years after i last saw him, i heard that he had left his wife and come out as a gay man.....
bit of a bugger really, in the scheme of things!
the weird thing is that my partner and I have friends that have almost exactly this relationship. Their friends don't understand them - and I have this inkling that they don't fully understand it, however it works for them and they are exceedingly happy!
Mr Arbour, you certainly have come up with one hell of a family. i suppose there may be many families like this, just very few with the money to make it to the levels this one does! great writing.
I am relieved that our dear George has bee relieved of the company of Mr Conway. May the ship sail on, happier in his absence.
well written as ever - the time off has done you well, Mr Arbour!
james, this is brilliant. I am sticking the review randomly here and I needed to say something before I keep reading. I love the way you roll the story out from some many viewpoints, each enlightening us readers a little more. A truly fascinating read!
great beginning - well crafted with enough information to hook us in, but not so much that techo-idiots like me get confused with the science.... it makes one want to read on...and so I shall!
bliss! sheer and utter bliss! great to have m'boy George back - and happily in the company of Mr Calvert. Mr Conway - may he fall from a great height, physically, socially and as far as his career is concerned as well. Tho' I do sense a twist may emerge!
you rekon? I would have thought that for the majority of history (classical greece, rome, rennaissance, enlightenment) the male form was considered "perefect" whereas the female form was a pretty object to own, but of no real intrinsic value apart fom the biological.
of course things have changed now; we all agree that the female form has some merit - or so we understand from those that appreciate such things!!
