  1. Speaking as a teacher there are proven advantages and disadvantages for both co-ed and single sex education. Personally however I believe that co-educational school are better as they better prepare students for their 'real life'. The main thing that I got out of my four year uni course was that the main focus of education is to prepare students for life outside of school and a single sex system doesn't do this as effectively as co-ed schools as the community that is created is artificial and doesn't reflect that of the wider community. From personal experience boys are a lot nicer when girls are around. Every Wednesday all the girls in my class go to choir and the next 45 minutes are the worst of the week. Also I don't think I could have survived in a single sex school as all my friends are girls
  2. Just saw him on TV, he is brilliant!
  3. Kittens, dogs are just so needy which I can't deal with for to long - but cats grow out of that
  4. Those are some of my favourite shows (except Hannah Montana which is an evil evil show) However I have an excuse to watch them as I teach primary school (I actually use Phineas and Ferb in class)... so I need to keep up to date with what the kids like, right (thats my excuse and I'm sticking to it) However the most embarrassing show that I watch would have to be Gilmore Girls
  5. I've always loved Elves, even more since I first saw Legolas in LOTR (my first movie crush).
  6. Heard Last Kiss on the radio the other day and actually started crying in the car - I had never really paid attention to the lyrics before My Immortal by Evanescense - it doesn't make me cry but I like to listen to it when I'm sad
  7. Ohhh I have so many... will start with some obvious ones - love Harry Potter and Twilight Saga. The Dark Magician Trilogy By Trudi Canavan is brilliant and it has a gay main character which I liked The Mortal Instruments Series by Cassandra Clare Everything by Juliet Marrillier - historical fantasy Fire and Graceling By Kristin Cashore As for classic lit I love Pride and Prejudice, Northanger Abbey, Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights (although the only likeable character dies) Vanity Fair (no likeable characters but still a good read) and Dorian Grey. Also recomend books by Jennifer Donnelly, Richelle Mead, Terry Goodkind, Tracy Chevalier. Lindsey Davis and Christopher Paolini Also being a primary school teacher I have to recommend Emily Rodda, Anthony Horowitz, Dianna Wynne Jones, Lemony Snicket and Rick Riordan
