In all likelihood, if it was Travis who beat up Derek, Charlie would take Derek's side.
Everything Derek forgot will come to light at the end of the next chapter (and will be expanded at the start of Part 4).
Hehe. I'm glad Derek is growing on you. I've always worried that people will hate him so much they decide to drop the story before ever reaching the part where things start to turn around.
Maybe if people poke me enough they might end up together.
Hey adamo,
Yes, I did put up a message earlier about posting two chapters a week for the start and end of Part 4. However, that plan went out the window this week during my writing. Christmas season is just around the corner and I didn't want to release certain chapters during Christmas week.
The story might actually extend to next year despite my attempts to finish it this year. =/
Technically, Derek's not a bully. If you read back, you'll never actually see a scene where he's bullying anyone. Overall, he's actually pretty nice. His thoughts though often big-headed rarely ever translate into action.
Unfortunately, there won't be a scene where Andrew breaks anyone. Hehe. However, he will be back for one more chapter.
About Travis, hrmm....
Haha. About that last comment... Maybe their homes aren't anything special.
Thanks westlake82! I am certainly enjoying writing it (though these self-imposed weekly deadlines are starting to become troublesome hehe).
On a side note, I love blue cheese so throw it all the way.
CHAPTER 26: Crossing Lines
The three of us left Coach Henry’s office. I separated from the two of them at the entrance of the locker room. I told my mom to go ahead, that I needed to get my stuff and drive my car home anyway so there really wasn’t any point in waiting for me. She looked deeply concerned over me. I wanted to tell her how much her defense meant to me, even if what I did felt just a little bit out of line. I didn’t think I could do it with Principal Walker there though. I had a fe
Hey adamo. Sorry, I didn't have time to write the last few days. Went on vacation out of town. I'll see if I can have a chapter up soon.
If ever something comes up, I usually post a status update on my profile:

Hi DutchJoey, if it helps any, the issue with the blood will be revealed at the start of Part 4. There are ten chapters left but several of them are considerably longer than others (i.e. 7000 words). I could have split them but they would leave even more cliffhangers which I'm sure you wouldn't want me to do. Hehehe.
Be warned though. Part 3 ends with a cliffhanger to rival all other cliffhangers. There really is nothing I can (or rather want) to do about that.
Also, I'm trying to get the story done before Christmas (though I'm not sure how successful I will be regarding that). I was planning to release two chapters for both the start and end of Part 4 simply to minimize the cliffhanger issue - see, I listen to reader reviews!
But again, these are plans which may or may not change. Nothing is final until it's done.
Hey JimmyD! Much like in Chapter 2, Charlie isn't just some piece of meat. He's a damn smart piece of meat. Hehehe.
I really can't release any of the remaining chapters yet for two reasons: (1) They aren't finished. The last three have yet to be written, and (2) All "written but unreleased" chapters are in their alpha versions which means I wrote them and have not (even once) proofread them yet. They contain A LOT of errors which will make your eyes bleed if I don't fix them before release. Hehe.
A little patience goes a long way.
Hey cantwait! Although the story is titled "Charlie", a lot of it is actually about Derek. Charlie is still here of course - we cannot have "Charlie" without Charlie after all! He will take a stronger role in the succeeding chapters (particularly when Part 4 starts).
Hi Antonio. I think one chapter a week is a reasonable rate of release. I'm not copying this off some book. I actually have to create each line and then reread and revise them to make sure that I bring to you the best quality story I can manage within the given time frame. If I don't do that, you're going to get a half-baked story. And I'm sure you don't want something like that.
There are only eight chapters left (three of which still need to be written). I'm trying to tie up all the loose ends before the story finishes. There are a few things which will of course not be completely resolved (but for obvious reasons I hope). I hope you'll like how it all ends.
