  1. I love my cell, I won't leave the house without it. But I probably do more texting on it than actual talking. And I find that it's a great "barrier" if I encounter someone that I really don't want to talk to. I just pretend to call someone really quick and that phone is pressed to my ear in a mere nano-second. That scheme has only failed me once, but I dropped my arm and shouted "can't you see I'm on the ####-ing phone?". I guess it's a good thing that it was a fake phone call.
  2. Big Rush fan here (hey, there's more to life than just emo bands, right?). Anyways, my cousin had pointed out a link to this video, this kid Owen is really talented for his age. (it's Rush's Red Barchetta)
  3. Ever since I got a DVR, it changes the way I watch TV. Don't even know what an ad is anymore. That's what the fast forward button is for.
  4. I've never read the comic either, but I absolutely love this show. I wonder if any of the "walkers" are gay?
  5. I'm leaning towards the one singing it. Many emo bands sound alike, so it's always a good thing when you have a singer that sets himself apart from the rest of the crowd. Such as Pierre Bouvier from Simple Plan or Bert McCracken from The Used.
  6. Well this is somewhat of a loaded question. I had read "The Castaway Hotel" from Bill W's Rainbow Youth Connection over at Nifty before I even knew this wonderful website even existed. But since I didn't read it here, I guess it doesn't really count. The first story I read here at GA was of course, Dom Luka's Desert Dropping (hey, I'm from Arizona and I saw the state flag). Fell in love with it immediately. There are so many similarities between Rory Norick's life and my own, so it was almost like I was part of the story. Maybe Dom knew me in some other lifetime?
  7. I seriously doubt that any 5 year old boy knows if he is gay or straight at that age. Those other moms need to buy a vowel and get a freakin' clue. It warms my heart that the main mom in the story will accept her son, no matter which path he chooses. I told my mom when I was 15 and she has zero problem with it. I don't know how she would feel if I ever cross dressed, but at least she is totally accepting of me being in a relationship with another male.
  8. from a TV ratings blog: ------------------------------------------------- The premiere of the AMC original series The Walking Dead was anything but, as the one-hour telecast scared up a whopping 5.34 million viewers on Halloween night. Among those who stayed in to watch the episode were 3.57 million viewers 18-49, making The Walking Dead the most successful cable series debut of 2010. The overall delivery and demo numbers also marked an historic high for an AMC original series bow. (AMC's all-time biggest draw to date came courtesy of its two-part miniseries event, Broken Trail. All told, the Robert Duvall oater averaged 9.96 million viewers on June 25 and 26, 2006, per Nielsen live-plus-seven-day ratings data). If The Walking Dead's numbers weren't frightening enough to AMC's Sunday night competition, consider the fact that many fans of the zombie/horror genre were likely out bobbing for apples or hurling eggs at hapless passersby while the series debuted. If past performance is anything to go by, AMC could very well see those deliveries swell by as much as 50 percent upon application of L-7 data. In other words, after AMC is credited for DVR playback, The Walking Dead's deliveries could swell to some 8 million viewers. Any way you slice it, look to AMC president and general manager Charlie Collier to announce a renewal soon. While AMC brass didn't say it in so many words, the premiere far outstripped the network's early expectations. -------------------------------------------------- I think it's safe to say that this show will be around for awhile.
  9. I would never kiss another guy (on the lips or anywhere else) unless he was my boyfriend. So when I meet another guy for the first time it's either a handshake or the fist bump thing.
  10. I love snuggling. Me and the BF do it all the time. No PDA's though, we're just not ready to take that next step just yet.
  11. My better half takes care of my needs on the weekend. Do I get horny during the week? Of course I do. But I just try to distract myself by getting involved in some other project. And by doing that, it gives me something to look forward to for the weekend!
  12. This. I was attracted to Rory from the very first chapter. There are so many issues in his life that I'm surprised that he doesn't have an I-pod full of emo music permanently attached to his ear. My kinda guy.
  13. L.I.E. is an amazing movie. Not sure if it's readily available now. But Howie Blitzer had some great hair in that one. For current movies, I would go with 17 Again (hottie Zac Efron), Star Trek, and Eagle Eye (Shia is somewhat hot).
  14. I am sooooooooo looking forward to this show. I love me some good zombie action! Checked last night and I do get AMC in HD. Too bad there are only 6 episodes in the show's first season.
  15. But what if you have a short haircut and very minimal body hair? I chose clean.
  16. Depends on who you picture Rory as. I look a lot like Justin Berfield; same spiky brown hair and everything. The Rory in my mind is played by Michael Angarano.
  17. My first name is Trevor, and I'm a huge sports fan. There is a relief pitcher that used to play for the San Diego Padres named Trevor Hoffman. When he would enter the game, the video-board at Petco Park would flash the words "Trevor Time". Pretty simple, huh?
  18. Law & Order UK is pretty good. The wigs in court kind of threw me, but I guess that's how it's done over there. Jamie Bamber sure is hot (he's the 2nd detective).
  19. No argument there, Dom's writing is amazing. Desert Dropping is almost like the story of my life! Rory Norick and I could almost be soul brothers.
