    Chapter 3

Dave, what else did you expect? You've known me long enough to know that I like to set the table and you decide what to eat. But I think I left you with enough details to decide what they have for 'dinner'
  2. I hung up the phone, and wished for the first time in months that I could swap Gar in and out at will. Then I saw Ryan staring at me. His lips were taut and he twisted a napkin so tight the tip of his finger had turned red. It didn't take much to realize I never wanted Gar back–ever. "So….." Ryan unwound the paper and wrapped it back. "Griffin's missing." I knew he'd want more, but he needed to hear everything. Grasping his hands in mine, I removed the constricting wad of napkin and put it on

    Chapter 2

Not a thing Dave, not a thing.

    Chapter 2

Seriously? Cliffhanger? Me? Pshaw. You ain't seen nothing yet girl. I'm just warming up. I mean hell, I left the entire book with a cliffhanger didn't I? I'm sure I can do better. Just give me a chance. As for the sex, yeah well, um, I write SOO many sex scenes, I figured I'd go without one for a change - yeah that's it.
  5. Ryan tossed a copy of the Washington Post onto the table. Pointless as it was, I did as expected and picked it up. I didn't need to read the words to know what happened. After glancing at the headline, I put it down. "Did you expect anything else?" I figured coffee might help relax him, so I grabbed a mug from the cabinet and slipped one his favorite cups into the machine. "You knew?" "Knew? No. But as I said to Griffin before we left DC, the Bureau was never going to let their secret file o

    Chapter 1

Thanks Stephen. I think that 'normalcy' might prove a facade that Will only maintains becuase he loves Ryan and doesn't want anything to ruin his outlook. Eventually Ryan might join Will's world view, but here too, I figure Will is going to do his very best to shield RYan from that reality as long as he can. As for can't last? I think I wouldn't bet against Will.

    Chapter 1

Glad you were pleasantly surprised, I'd been gone for a while so I know I disappointed a few people. That said,I think the odds were NEVER in Barrington's favor. All he had going for him was Ryan's kind nature. I suspect without knowing, Will would have gladly snapped his neck and not lost any sleep over it, if Ryan hadn't insisted he play nice. - Just sayin.

    Chapter 1

Thanks Dave, I hope this one - which is much shorter - will make the grade. It's not going to have the love/relationship part the original had - because, well how could it right? But I think it came out well Thanks again. Andy
  9. It's said, "absence makes the heart grow fonder," I've just never figured out who did the research. Ryan'd only been gone three days, and my heart was anything but fond of the separation. Then again, the research never considered the affect of being host to a spirit. The logic part of me knew there was nothing to worry about. Even though Ryan had only been a host for a short time, the Purpose had enhanced his body enough that he'd be well beyond most people already. So why did I worry? "Becaus
  10. Am starting a new story tomorrow - I originally posted the chapters on my blog as part of my free fiction Wednesday - using the characters and story line from Purpose as a back drop. For those who read Purpose and liked it - here is a bit more that take place a few months after Purpose ended. Spoiler Alert! If you've not read purpose, this will totally ruin the ending if you read this first. It's a total ending ruiner to read this and go back. Just saying. Anyway, for those who read this forum, feel free to comment question, or rant about me or the story. -AQG
  11. Will is back in DC because his friend Detective Griffin is missing. Spoiler Alert - reading this before Purpose will spoil the ending of Purpose.

    Chapter 24

Haha, yeah I wanted there to be those 'real' moments. We don't always have the right answer, we don't always do the right thing - we often don't think beyond our naughty bits - at least that's true for men - so I wanted Dean to be torn between his brother and what's right on one hand - and a nice piece of... you know what. When I get back to this story in the not too distant future, we'll see what happens. Bets anyone??

    Chapter 26

Thanks so much for the comments, they totally help keep me motivated. The marriage issue has so many facets to it. One very good friend of mine suggested that since Mike and I were married in all ways, we really should go do it for the good of the 'herd' so to speak. That we should do it to let future generations know that making the commitment was something Gay couple could and should want and do. Other friends won't do it - because they feel it's an institution for straight people and they don't need someone to say it's valid for it to be valid. Me? I think there is a huge benefit to standing up and saying I do. I don' think people need to wait 18 years like we did, but I think the act of doing it and saying it, and getting it validated by the state IS important and meaningful. I have to say that I didn't know how it would feel after 18 years to 'walk down the aisle', but that day is one I won't forget. I still see what Mike looked like, how 'lil q looked and acted. I won't say it was worth the wait because it should have been allowed much sooner, but it was definitely worth doing. As for SS in print? It needs a major edit and it needs to be two books. I've toyed with it from time to time, so we'll see. Maybe? Is that good enough?

    Chapter 25

Dean is one of those younger brothers who is smarter than their older sibling, but not nearly as wise. Mainly because the older sibling has been there to keep them out of trouble - until they're not (Not that I'd know anything about being a younger sibling whose older sister kept him out of trouble, but when she went away to college I got in trouble - nope not me ) Dean is now going to need to learn things on his own, like it or not, whether Jason likes it or not either. So when I pick this up soon, I'll see where it goes. Thanks for reading and taking the time to comment.

    Chapter 25

Thanks - I had a variety of reason for keeping the sex down and I'm pleased you saw there was a purpose to it when I finally got around to it. I'd like to think I can write it if I wanted to, but honestly, I find as a reader that if you get me to the bed, I've got a pretty good imagination and I can figure out what they did and be happier than reader someone else's version of it lol. Thanks for the note, and I'm glad you enjoyed it. I have so much more i want to do with it, but time is always my issue of late.
  16. Like I said in the other responses, for some odd reason I missed all these - I hope you got a chance to read it all and that Darryl got more of his due. Thanks for the review - and sorry for the late late response.
  17. I'm really sorry I missed this - for some reason I didn't get the notices on any of these and now - months later I see them. Reviews like this make writing worth it. Sales are nice, but knowing someone really enjoyed it is something you can't replace. I think of all my stories, this one has stuck with me the most - by that I mean I can still see them and what they're 'doing' at odd moments. I wish I had infinite free time - I've so much more I want to write. LOL Thanks again. Andy
  18. Wow, how did I miss this? I think i need a forensic sketch artist to describe who I would use. I always have images in my head, but they don't always translate into known actors. Alex Pettyfer is a close estimate of Jason - Peter is harder, I can't think of anyone who'd I'd say fit, Beau is close, but not quite. Too bad google won't let you search by what someone looks like LOL
  19. "Do you ever think about getting married?" Blake asked as he poured water over his head. The question caused Jason to stop drinking. Blake and Ethan had been 'dating' less than a month. "Yeah, I sometimes. Why?" Before he answered, Blake shook his head, spraying Jason with water. "Hey!" Jason flicked his bottle at his friend to no avail. "Sorry." He turned and shook again. "It was running down my back." Jason rolled his eye and used the bottle of his shirt to wipe his face. "That usually ha

    Chapter 25

B-man - well Dean I don't think is as aware of his 'status' as others. His grandfather is the university's biggest benefactor. And while he's not always mindful, others - not naming names - might be a bit more aware of it. Just say. LOL

    Chapter 24

Yeah, well I've had this ready to go for a while, I've just been bad about getting them posted. There are only a few chapters left with this before I take a break and start a few other things. BUT I do promise to pick it up soon. Thanks B-man

I think that's probably best. Darryl is a wise man - Dean would do well to pay heed to his words
