Aww, thanks! I think this is the least liked story, and I guess I'll have to revisit it at some point, to tighten it up and make it less rambling, but the core is there.

CHAPTER 46 --==Kit’s POV==-- Waking up the next morning, with Tom in my arms, was like waking to a dream. Only this one was very real. I’d dreamed about this, waking up with boyfriend; a nice long good-morning kiss, his body close, its heat against me as we slowly woke to a new day. The latter was definitely true. I may rewrite the ending, it is indeed rushed, or feels that way to me. It's been pointed out to me, and I may me able to do so. I have a lot of free time upcoming and...in the mood to write. In fact, I wrote another story, on and off, during the past three years. Renee has read it, but it's been altered since. We will have to see. That's actually not a bad idea; an alternate ending, while keeping the original intact. I'll give it some thought.

You are right, I do write with the same characteristics across the board. Perhaps it's because it's a comfortable thing. I don't know; I'll see if I can change it somewhat, in another story.

That's a good point. I may, at some time in the future. The ending always felt rushed, to me, it doesn't feel...'done', right?

I was already contemplating it when a remark from another reader sealed the deal. Can't take full credit for it, but I like it too. And uhm...I kinda had some moisture when I wrote that too. Spilled drink, of course...

I've left the story intact with all its flaws when reposted here at the request of many, your pointed out problem with it being my main peeve in it. I know very well it rambles. To my defence, and the only one I have: I wrote it in 2004, over 8 years ago, and it was my first fouray into English writing, a language not my own. There are grammar flaws throughout, and many are not caught in a spellchecker (then/than, be it/albeit, etc etc). I remember rushing to finish when pressed by readers at the time, and I did. The result is the crap you saw. But, as said, at the request of many, it's here, its chapters mostly unaltered. To do so would've meant a complete restructure from about halfway into it. Quite sorry you have not enjoyed it. I'd invite you to THAW, but I see no reason to do so, since you'll be pretty disgusted with that one as well, so, as advice I'd say steer clear of anything I write or have written, and remain disgust-free. You speak it just fine, don't worry about it. Yes, there is one sequel I'm thinking about, to "The House Always Wins" and yes, it is with children in it. But I haven't started on it, it's just a thought that I've been having for a few years now. I know the title, but that's about the size of it, lol! Glad you enjoyed this one.
