LOL! Why thank you for your comment. I appreciate it. And you can see it's taken a VERY long time for this story to continue, so you've arrived at the right time. I am determined to finish this. Might I also point to THAW (The House Always Wins)? It's my personal favorite.

Hah! What one likes, the other won't even spit on. I'm not offended in the least, either way. But even i have my preferences among my own stories. CG makes me shudder, to be honest.

I also want to add: Confounded I is my own least favorite. I don't really like CG either. THAW, I find, is the most fun read, it just...flows, however improbable. And then there's Confounded II. That one just may have the better character development of them all, but I leave that for others to decide.

That's quite alright. Some like this, some like that and neither like both. Fact of life and both need to be said. Even some 6+ years later!

Yeah, 7 years is a bit long; even George R.R. Martin writes faster, lol! But...another story is also in the works, and close to finished. So I'll publish that after this, or perhaps even simultaneously. I prefer to finish it though, considering my track record on this one.

True. I'm reading this back again, along with you, and it...I dunno...'feels' too fast. I could use a few more chapters or exposition. As said previously, I won't, but there are definite flaws here.
