Nope. It's been over two decades since I wrote it, have no recollection of the while thing so I simply don't know. Quite satisfying to let my mind fill in the blanks. This story rambles from all sides, unfortunately. 2 decades...yikes.

Yes they are. I'm re-reading and funnily enough, I don't remember ever writing this. There are decent parts, bad arts and REALLY bad part. I'm thinking Kyle is a good antagonist, but Mark is just a dweeb. *shudders*

I never really got the chance to give the character some meat. He's a pretty one-dimensional character in Confounded 1, barely fleshed out in 2, so 3 was my chance. Or is it actually 4, and am I writing someth....nahhh, I wouldn't do that. Would I?

The plan always is to finish every story but I can only write when I'm in the right mood. It took a long time for that to come back, this time (but not the first time that happen, lol).

I'm here and writing again. I really should learn not to post ongoing stories, it's not fair to you all. I'm hoping to finish the next chapter tonight. If I do, I won't send it to the editor (if he's still there, ofc) because OMG, it's been almost 2 years. I. Am. Horrible.

Though I agree on religion being the root of all (much) evil, I cannot remember writing that the grandparents insisted on baptising these kids. If so, please point me to it, because that was unintentional. They did not. It's Mischa's thing and Kit agrees.

Funnily enough, your comments have made me re-read once again, and once again inspire me to write in the world of characters. Watch for an additional chapter soon. Somewhere...possibly Confounded III (hint, hint).

🙃 Yes, it's wrong. We all know it, yet we also all know at least one person in our vicinity who has/had such an entanglement. However, this had a dual purpose/reason, which comes back in Confounded III, with more explanation.

39. In Confounded I he was 36, which took place in 2007. This story takes place in 2010. (I had to look at the dates and all that jazz due to another story n the works in this trilogy, making it a quadrilogy)

Aww, thank you! I was insanely busy for a while and not in the right mindset for writing. I did write some, here and there, but no full chapters. But now I am having vacation for 2 weeks, so let's see what I can conjure up. 😉 Noooooo, no one is going to be killed off.

INTERLUDE --==Tom’s POV==-- I saw Mitch before he saw me. He was hard to miss, towering above most, standing a little to the side, scanning arrivals. Dressed semi-casual in a dark blue sports jacket, a light blue shirt, cream colored chinos and wearing dark Pilot sunglasses, he was scanning the crowd arriving in Terminal B, hands casually in his pockets. Nope, while the story was written in 2004, I later had to fiddle with the dates because of Confounded II, which takes place in 2010, where Kit is 18. Since Mitchell became a dad at the age of 21, that means his birthyear was 1971. In Confounded III he's 51. So Confounded I takes place in 2007. Trust me, it was a headache figuring all that out, lol! And I may have to dive into it again, because I'm running up against it in Confounded IV (or 2.5, if you like). *grumbles*

Update: I'm still here, still writing! If any have doom-thoughts - relax! I will continue on this one, as well as on Return to Sender. It's just that Confounded 4 (or 2.5, if you like) is taking up too much space in my head, in terms of characters. I wrote quite a bit on it and might release it, but not before it's finished. The editor has been reading it, and so far the reaction is good. Hang in there!

Ok, so this was not supposed to happen but in short - while writing this story, I was writing on Confounded: Part 3. That meant postponing that one because this story was cluttering my head. And now yet another one crept in there. The 4th part for Confounded, which I absolutely did not expect to ever write. I never meant to. So now that my head is full, I need to sort that all out. Which means that all three are now on hold for a bit. I'm sorry! I'm having the summer of my life, to be honest, writing wise. I never wrote this much, ever. Too much clutter in my brain. 😂 Shouldn't take too long. As soon as the main storyline is written, the brain load gets better to manage and I can discern between characters. Currently, some others are wanting out.

*Sigh* Well, now you've done it. The nagging worked. Not only was this story put on hold for another one (Return to Sender) but now I've started writing Kit & Mischa's story...and I need to get that info and story out of my head before I can continue here. Some details will change in this one, mostly dates. But, I have not forgotten this one! It will continue! Just let me sort out my head. 😂
