  1. Dodger, I wanted to convey my appreciation for another superb installment which, as usual, gifted me with a much-too-brief respite from all the f--ked up stuff that's going on in the world. Seriously can't thank you enough. The very best aspect of this chapter is that it seems to imply, based on the introduction of a totally new sub-plot -- a sub-plot which, in and of itself, could easily require another 153 chapters before it gets resolved -- that there is no way The Cockney Canuck could possibly be coming to a conclusion any time soon. This brings me great joy because, as you may or may not recall, I have been begging you since about 132 chapters ago, to please, please, please keep writing this story forever. (OK, for the rest of your life is probably more realistic...but you get the point.) You have been quite consistent in always responding that all stories have to come to an end; we are in fact nearing the conclusion of The Cockney Canuck; there are only a few chapters left; etc., etc. This used to make me super depressed, until it finally dawned on me that the "Dodger" who responds to the comments obviously has no idea what Dodger, the Author, is doing. Which, if you think about it, is a good thing. I think both Dodgers are amazing, and I eagerly anticipate the next 153 chapters of this riveting saga! [Speaking of things that could happen in upcoming chapters: Robbie obviously can't tell Nathan the truth about why he (Robbie) is suddenly going to be spending time with the churchfolk. And it seems likely that Robbie is going to have to spend considerable time with the churchfolk in order to gain Matthew's trust. Thus, it also seems likely that Nathan stands a good chance of becoming irrationally (from the reader's perspective, not from Nathan's) jealous (especially if Nathan happens to inadvertently interrupt a seemingly-intimate moment between Robbie and Matthew e.g. suppose Matthew is telling Robbie about the time he got sent away to "conversion camp" for a week, which actually meant a week of being raped twice a day by Symmonds -- obviously Robbie would need to comfort Matthew in this scenario, which, if Nathan were to walk in on such a scene, would not look good from Nathan's perspective.) What I am trying to say is, even though Robbie and Nathan's love seems perfect and unbreakable at the moment, a rift is clearly inevitable - possibly a lot sooner than you might think. The rift between Robbie and Nathan opens the door for all kinds of new drama to ensue. Robbie could be surprised to find himself falling in love with Matthew. Robbie could find himself surprised to realize that Alex really has changed, and therefore not so surprised to find himself saying yes to Alex's suggestion that they should be fuckbuddies (on the DL, obviously.) Also Tom could come back to Cobourg at the most inopportune moment -- for example, a week before Robbie's wedding to Nathan (or Matthew) -- confessing to Robbie that he (Tom) has been in love with him (Robbie) all this time; he can't imagine a future where they're not together; and begging Robbie not to marry Nathan (or Matthew). Also, when is Rory going to admit to Robbie that he (Rory) has always been bisexual and that he's finally ready for Robbie to help him explore the gay side of his sexuality? I'll stop now, except for one last thing - aren't we supposed to officially find out, at some point, that Mr. Andrews is actually Robbie's biological father? Also, remember how Robbie gave some random guy a blowjob in a car on Thanksgiving? I remember that guy was somebody's son (ok I guess we all are) but in this case, that "somebody" wasn't Mr. Andrews, was it?]
  2. I appreciated the scene that everybody's been talking about because it's so politically incorrect. I appreciate your writing for that same reason. (And lots of other reasons too!) Keep writing from the heart and you can't go wrong. You might get censored, though. Fantastic work as always. Michael PS- Like everyone else, I can't wait to see what will happen at the big "family dinner". I am hoping that Trent and Emma will concoct a plan that will cause Mark immense embarrassment and distress. I would like to see Trent beat the shit out of Mark, but I know that Kayden wouldn't like that. Maybe the grandparents will disown him? ("him" = Mark, not Kayden!) PPS - I think it would be a really nice gesture if Trent would buy Kayden a gift of a new buttplug.....
  3. I'm euphoric; by my reckoning, some of your best work ever. The heartbreaking depiction of Stephanie's increasingly fragile mental state was both poignant and compelling. And while I can't say that I've ever been a fan of Nathan (Where is Tom when we need him? Plus I thought Alex + Robbie had some real chemistry together, until Alex turned in to a pseudo-rapist. And I'm still hoping that Rory will finally face the truth about himself (i.e. he's totally gay!) because Rory + Robbie would be super cute...but I digress)....what I am trying to say is, although I've never been a huge fan of Nathan, the way you revealed a different aspect of Nathan's character in the restaurant scene actually made me warm up to him for the first time in 92 chapters. And the subtlety with which you portrayed Robbie slowly coming to realize the crushing weight of the consequences of his spur-of-the-moment, Viagra-induced romp in the hay with Stephanie was both gut-wrenching and realistic. I don't think you've ever done any better than this, Dodger. Also thanks for the super quick update after only 6 weeks. Your work is greatly admired and much appreciated. By almost all of us.
  4. I agree that it really seems like Jacob and Maggie are getting away with their crime. The sad thing is -- and I'm sure there have been actual studies on this -- I would surmise that in 99% or more of rapes, this is what happens in real life. I mean that the rape doesn't get reported to the police. Unfortunately. But it also makes sense. Think about it, if you had just been raped, would you want to then have to deal with the dickhead police and the inevitable snide "you must have been asking for it" innuendos and looks. Which would be infinitely worse in the case of a same-sex rape. The whole thing sucks for Kayden.....but I have faith in his resiliancy!

    Fri: Kayden

Wow, that was great. I love the drama! The entire time that Kayden and Trent were screwing in Kayden's bed, I kept expecting Mark to burst in on them after he came home from work unexpectedly because he forgot some important papers. Or whatever. But what actually happened was even better. (or worse, I guess is a more apt description.) But poor Emma, 8 more years of having to live with that asshole of a father is going to kill her spirit. Maybe Cho will grow a backbone and tell Mark to piss off. Not counting on it, though.
  6. I was fully expecting Trent to lose it and beat the shit out of Chase in front of the paparazzi and then end up in jail on assault charges. I was partially expecting that Trent had a knife on him and would pull it out and use it during the fight with Chase. So the charges against him would become assault with a deadly weapon. Trent would not have been able to post bail if that happened. So then I was picturing Kayden having to come out to his dad by asking Mark to lend him $10,000 to help him get his boyfriend out of jail. Obviously it's a good thing I'm not writing this story, because all of this would have been totally lame and I'm super glad that none of it happened. I love this story and can't wait to find out what will actually happen next. Thanks for continuing to put so much time and effort into it. My opinion hasn't changed at all: it's still really, really good.....better than ever, in fact.

    Sat, Sun: Trent

This is very thought-provoking and so UN-politically correct. I love it!
  8. Maybe Trent should tell Sara about the video, she seems pretty smart and might come up with a better plan than whatever Mitch has in mind. I think Trent is still as much of an asshole as he was in the beginning, except not to Kayden any more. I find it refreshing the way Trent is so rude and boorish. At least people never have to guess how he really feels about anything! Great work as always.

    Chapter 57

That was heart-warming, thanks Comsie. Also you're gonna spoil us with two chapters in a month!!

    Chapter 9

Wow! That was really poignant and depressing and beautiful and the whole thing made me cry. Fantastic writing. Totally worth the wait. Thank you.
  11. I have a few questions / comments: 1) This is REALLY good! Anyone reading this who is "bored" with the story, is completely insane and you really don't want people like that as your fans anyway.....do you? 2) On the second night that Kayden snuck out to go over to Trent's house (well I guess they never actually made it to Trent's house the first night, but that's beside the point) - I am talking about the night of the "fashion show" with Diana -- why did Kayden not have the buttplug "installed", on that night? I thought that anywhere Kayden goes, he is supposed to always have the buttplug stuffed up his butt? And Trent didn't even get mad! 3) Isn't Mark going to notice Kayden's new wardrobe and flip his lid? [Although seeing his son getting fucked (and loving it!) on TMZ might help him put the whole wardrobe thing in perspective....] 4) You have no idea how much I wish that I had had the good sense, when I was in my 20's, to ask the kinds of questions Kayden asked of Trent, before I moved in with some guy I barely knew, or before I decided it was a good idea to try to convince the hot guy I picked up at the bar 2 nights ago to move in with me "permanently". Kayden is very smart to wonder "what will happen when you (=Trent) get sick of me?" Or how he would be able to support himself. Kayden is a really smart guy. Trent is damned lucky if you ask me. 5) Trent is obviously still a total asshole, yet he's really growing on me, in spite of his assholeishness. 6) The end of this chapter is about a million times more interesting than a threesome with Lucas! It sure looks like there is epic and explosive drama ahead.....I can't wait to see what's going to happen next! Michael
  12. But please don't actually let any of these characters get any therapy, because who wants to read about a bunch of well-adjusted, rational, reasonable, "normal" people?! (I suppose that could be the point at which the story ends....) I know that this isn't a democracy, but here are my votes on some of the more pressing plot-related questions: Therapy for some or all of the characters? NO! Wrap up the story soon? NO! Threesome (Kayden/Trent/Lucas)? YES! Mitch accidentally walks in on the threesome? YES! Mitch joins in the threesome? NO WAY! GROSS! Vince and Sara accidentally walk in on the threesome? YES! Vince and Sara join in the threesome? NO! That would be ridiculous. Diana accidentally walks in on the threesome? YES! As long as she walks out right away. Trent ties up Mark and holds him hostage for 72 hours, uses buttplug as gag? YES! (Actually, Kayden wouldn't like this at all so nevermind.) I'm glad that Mark isn't a single parent, because I agree with the comment above that he definitely gives off a vibe like he has the potential to become physically abusive or even sadistically violent towards his kids. It feels like if Cho hadn't been there at the dinner table, Mark would have tied Kayden up and forcibly removed both nipple rings. And probably slapped him around a bit, too. Which actually would have been kind of cool, because just imagine Trent's response after he found out that Mark was abusive towards Kayden. It would be epic! Every time I find a new chapter of this story has been posted, it totally makes my day. Thank you!

    Fri, Sat: Trent

Another great chapter. A threesome between Trent and Kayden and Lucas would be hot, but afterwards, it would be emotionally scarring for Kayden and Lucas, I fear. I think if this were "real life", it would almost inevitably have to happen at some point (the threesome) because Trent wants it to, and Lucas (sort of) wants it to, and Kayden wants whatever Trent wants. On another subject, it now seems clear that Trent's mother is the exact opposite of oblivious and unobservant. I'm pretty sure that if she hasn't already figured it out about Kayden and Trent, she will put two and two together in the very near future....

    Chapter 55

The Vampire Zero definitely felt like one of the "good guys" when he and Justin "met" in the past. I am hopeful that this will still be the case. The Jeweler, I can't really figure out yet if he's evil, or is he more like a Willy Wonka type who just gets off on manipulating everyone and everything behind the scenes, and the more chaos that ensues, the better. It seems like if the Jeweler was truly "evil", he wouldn't have allowed Justin and Taryn to just walk away like they recently did. Regardless, Justin is clearly much better off at the Lot than in the clutches of the Jeweler, luxury accommodations notwithstanding. Thanks for another great installment, Comsie. PS - I'm sure you get asked annoying questions like this all the time....but I'm going to ask anyway: Is there anything a person could do to motivate you to binge-write Savage Moon????

    Wed: Trent

I vote for both nipples pierced, followed by belly button, then penis piercing. And multiple tattoos, obviously in places where the sun don't (normally) shine. I also advocate for a threesome with Lucas so that Kayden can experience what it's like to be a top. I don't think Trent would actually want to do anything sexual with Lucas, but Trent would definitely get off on ordering Kayden to do humiliating sexual things to Lucas. And I think that Kayden would (surprisingly, to him) really like it too! I cannot wait for the scene when Mark finally finds out about Kayden and Trent. I'm counting on something completely over the top in its outrageousness and I know you won't let us down! I also have my doubts that Trent will be able to avoid going to jail at least once before the story is through. Between his anger at Chase and his inevitable future anger at Mark, combined with that no-holds-barred temper, there is no way that Trent isn't going to find himself in a situation where he just completely lets go and loses himself in a whirlwind of raw violence. Trent's only hope is if Kayden can somehow work his magic and save Trent from his own worst instincts. It's going to be so exciting to see how it all plays out. You're a master storyteller, mastershakeme. Thanks for all the work you're putting in to this project, it's really, really good, and so worth it -- keep it up!
  16. Exactly just wait till you hit 40 if you think you feel old now! Thanks for another great chapter. I loved that Breaking Bad story but I love this one too. Maybe after you finish this one, that should be your next challenge!

    Friday: Trent

Thanks for another great chapter. The scene where Trent announces to Emma that he & Kayden are fucking is priceless! I am wondering why Sarah would want to go out with Vince.... Lucas seems to have a knack for calling and/or appearing at the most inopportune moments. Trent has shown some more (still very rare, though) signs that there is some humanity under his asshole exterior. Can't wait to find out what is going to happen on Trent and Kayden's "date" on Friday night..... don't make us wait too long!
  18. Another great chapter. I can't wait to see what Ethan will do when Trent aces the quiz. Isn't there some way that Kayden and Ian could sneak Emma to the Talent Show without Mark finding out? Kayden needs to be planning in advance what he's going to say when Mark discovers that Kayden has a "secret" second cell phone. Kayden also ought to be planning in advance what he will say in the event that Mark finds one of the butt plugs. (It could happen!) This is not even getting in to the stain on the Family's Honor that would result if it were to become widely known that Kayden is a proud gay cock whore.... It feels like there is a lot of excellent drama ahead!

    Wed: Trent

The scene with Sarah is awesome, I haven't laughed so hard in months. You're a great writer and this story is captivating. I can't wait to see what will happen next!
  20. He (Trent) is teaching Kayden how to live! If that's not a redeeming quality, I don't know what is.
  21. Dodger - If I were Elon Musk, I would cash out a million dollars of my Tesla stock, and give it to you so that you could pay all your debts and quit your job for a few years and spend all your time either writing or screwing around or possibly even both. I sent a letter to the real Elon Musk via US Postal Mail in which I asked him to please do this. He has not responded, so there is still hope! In the meantime, thank you for writing when you can, and for sharing your brilliant work with the rest of us. I am still, all these years later, in awe of your talent. Sincerely, Michael

    Chapter 54

OMG this totally made me cry. Thank you, Comsie!
  23. Regarding tying up loose ends..... Dodger! There is seriously no need for you to be stressing yourself out about deadlines involving tying up loose ends. Do they tie up loose ends on Days of Our Lives? Of course not! General Hospital? No way. So why would you want to tie up the loose ends in The Cockney Canuck, which is unquestionably vastly superior to these other critically-acclaimed series? In addition, please consider your addicted readers. For example, me. Do you honestly believe that it's going to somehow make my life better, if you tie up all the loose ends and then terminate The Cockney Canuck? How exactly would anyone's life be improved by the fact that we would never again be able to look forward to reading a new installment of this masterpiece?! Obvious answer: no one's life (except possibly yours, but that's irrelevant) would be improved by such a sad state of affairs. On the contrary, many people would find themselves drowning in a bottomless cesspool of despondency. Dodger, I am afraid that you do not understand the gravity of the situation. You have a not-insignificant number of readers who have nothing to look forward to in life besides the next chapter of The Cockney Canuck. While some might argue that these people need to get a life, that doesn't change the fact that if all one has to look forward to is the next chapter of The Cockney Canuck, and then one discovers that there will not be any more new chapters of The Cockney Canuck, because all the loose ends have been tied up -- well, I don't think it needs to be spelled out, just how dire of a situation that could be! So please, I am begging you to think about the effects that your words have on some of your more-fragile readers. It's ok to keep telling people that "there's only a few more chapters left", since no one knows what exactly "a few more chapters" actually means. But please, instead of "The story is set to conclude this year on or around Canadian Thanksgiving", why not leave it at, "The story is set to conclude on or around Canadian Thanksgiving." This gives you the latitude you need to extend the saga until Canadian Thanksgiving 2040. Which still probably won't be enough time to tie up all the loose ends! Note: although the above comments are (mostly) tongue-in-cheek, this is not: I love this story! Every chapter is consistently not just good, but great. I've never once lost interest. It's never become predictable or mundane. It really is way better than General Hospital! Thank you so much for all the time and effort you've put in to writing The Cockney Canuck, and thank you for sharing your brilliance with the rest of us. Even if (ok, when) you end The Cockney Canuck, please never stop writing, because talent like yours is rare and important.

    Fri, Sat: Kayden

I think Trent and Kayden are perfect for each other, even if Trent doesn't realize it yet. Jacob really IS creepy but what's even creepier is the not-insignificant number of guys out there in real life who are just like him... Can't wait to see what will happen next!
  25. You've really set the stage for a twisted and fascinating story. I can't wait to see what will happen next. Only because these are fictional characters do I feel like it's ok to say that I hope that Trent humiliates and abuses Kayden in outrageous and shocking ways that I'm not even capable of imagining. The less politically-correct, the better. It feels like this is actually what Kayden needs. And wants!
