  1. I can't speak for all Canadians but I loved the South Park movie!!! Dom couldn't have set the story in Canada because they would have been forced to talk as they huddled for warmth from the snow... I understand people's point about Jase and I agree that Eddie is the father and it's ultimately his place to explain things. I just think that since Eddie and Jase are a couple, they would probably take the team approach. It's not like Rory has any more of a relationship with Eddie than he does with Jase (unless you count the ride from the airport). It also seems like Rory finds Jase a little cold and distant. If I had a husband (yes I can do that here ) and was in the same situation, I would try and step into the father role but I would listen closely to what someone like Jase would say.
  2. I just joined and thought I'd throw my 2 cents in on a few of the characters... Aaron - I have no sympathy for the guy. Sticking Luke with a criminal record, regardless of his home situation, shows a complete lack of character. Someone mentioned Luke not being able to get certain jobs. I hope Luke doesn't like to travel because most countries will deny him entry because of a record... Alice - I keep wondering if there is anything going on in her head except looking for the slightest affront from anyone else. She can be as curt and rude as she wants but no one else better look at her funny or they'll suffer the rath of Alice. Why didn't she go down to smooth the transistion for Rory or have his Dad come up where she could force them bring things out into the open? Rory - I think some people have been too hard on him. He's sixteen, just lost his Mom, found out he has a Dad, been moved across the country, plunked into a home with total strangers and has had every other character lying to him. If he's like most sixteen year olds the entire world revolves around them (it did for me at least ). Hopefully he'll start to get over his issues and see what an opportunity he has. I don't see what the attraction is with moving back with Alice, he hasn't made it seem like he has lost anything other than his Gran & a familiar setting. Jase - I thought this guy was supposed to be a Psychiatrist? You think he might try to fix things instead of sitting on the sideline and watching the Titanic heading for the iceberg. You'd think he'd want them to talk about things or maybe at least try to have a little one-on-one with Rory to help him.
  3. QAF has turned out better than I thought when the first season came out. I figured they wouldn't do the UK version justice. The Showcase\Showtime version is filmed in Toronto in the Gay Ghetto (Church Street). A bit a trivia for you... Sharon Gless (Debbie on QAF) has been trying for a couple of years to emigrate to Canada... even after having to work in Canada in the winter time.
