Blake had been dreading the morning since long before he was awake enough to know why. While asleep, he had curled into a ball and buried himself beneath the sheets and pillows, as if cowering from consciousness itself. Eventually though, the irritating sunlight streaming through the window dragged his mind to the surface, forcing him to open one eye, just a crack. Even that hurt. (I had to look Dostoyevsky up I admit, but am pleased with the comparison based on what wikipedia's told me ) I gotta admit I find it limiting to stay in once voice all the time, but it allows me to keep the reader guessing with what is really going on when they know Blake's view is warped but its the only view they get More soon ...

yay I'm glad you like that one. That bit made me smile writing it too ... I tried to bounce around with the emotions of the reader a bit like that in the same way Blake was bouncing around. But yeah as usual it got angsty LOL ... How did Blake come to be like that? Well I guess I havent got to that bit yet. But there is plenty of precedent in the real world. In fact models end up more body conscious than most. Psychological problems are often out of touch with the factual reality (thats why their problems!). Anyway more soon!

Wow anyta ... 1 hour and 13 mins between me posting and you finishing and reviewing. I can't keep up! That took me two weeks to write I knew u would like this chapter, we talked a bit about it ages ago and then I put it off till now. I tried to make the whole evening one unbroken scene to keep the pace up and I'm glad u noticed and wrote about that in your review. I thought some timing was a bit off (e.g. drinks finished too quickly compared to the amount of conversation)) but decided to focus on pace. Neway thanks as always for your review and encouragement

I dunno that haze was about to confess undying love ... In fact I dunno what he was going to confess ... I always planned to have him interrupted but yeah obviously there is some ingredients for romantic advancement here: alcohol, drugs, new character jealousy... Surely something concrete has to fall outta this?

Andy, Andy tell me who is sane in this world? Okay so my characters trend along the screwy line a little ... I guess I write what I know. I'd have to use too much imagination to come up with a sane character ... There just aren't any role models in my life upon which to base such a character in my defenses: 1. Nats is sane surely 2. It's not really a surprise that someone with mental health issues would have a parent with mental health issues ... The opposite would be quite rare as nearly all mental health issues are parental in origins, either genetic and/or psychological. Thanks for reviewing - was worried I'd lost ya after u went quite for a while. Ps I did briefly consider naming th next chapter pissed (ie drunk) but decided one profane chapter title was enough.

Haha yeah I think the plot doctors will be right too judging by how the next chapter is shaping up. How come u don't like the other guy (he has a name you know!) Ive been planning his arrival with patty for ages, it just took longer to get here. He's also what the plot doctors ordered I reckon.
