That wasn't my point. While Devin might see it that way, I'm not at all sure that Mac would. Because Mac wasn't raised without other friends in his life, it is Mac's POV that worried me.
-
In the normal course of things (normal as in how stuff is happening with Devin), I can see Mac getting the idea that Devin doesn't truly love him. Devin wants to rush things along so he doesn't have to be dependent on Mac. Mac, on the other hand, wants nothing more than to help the one he loves. The way Devin is progressing, it's almost as if he is telling Mac that he doesn't need or want his help. I could see where Mac may begin to feel that Devin is pushing him away. I get that Devin was home-schooled and never had to form relationships with others his own age. Devin wouldn't understand what his selfish needs would do to Mac. And Mac, not really knowing how such isolation would affect Devin's outlook, could not take any of that into account.

I hope this is the point where Will learns that 1) sex is not love. 2) that sex, while not bad, is not always good. If he does, then thank that cabby! By the way, that didn't cringe me at all. It was what it was... Which for me, is how hook-ups usually went. A sexual release (even not coming is still a form of release) that's better than my hand, no more, no less. Wade's encounter with Jeff is only sort of strange. I guess because it showed how fast Wade could form an emotional bond with someone who made him submit. Like it or not, there is a part of Wade that was trained to be a sub. How much further Wade and Jeff go with this is not for me to speculate. I'll leave that to @Mark Arbour.

Sorry, that excuse doesn't fly. Even back in 2000, alarm clocks or clock radios were very dependable. The only reason it didn't go off is if you had a power outage (but most had a battery backup), or you didn't set it! SO! Will finally got into Ryan's pants. That old "let me teach you how to kiss" gambit, works almost all the time at that age.

OH! You guys are talking about horses. I thought... 😱

I think they call it the Fog of War... 🤣

Most people in the US do not understand the concept of "innocent until proven guilty." This is a term used by the courts. It has no real meaning outside of a court of law. Hence, if you are arrested by the police, they will treat you as if you are guilty (of whatever crime you are accused of). So will the newspapers and the media (if it sells papers or ads). In America, the worst crime you can be accused of is child sexual abuse (regardless of the legal term used). It will not matter if you are innocent. You will be tarred for life. That said, Brad and Robbie should have sat Will down and explained why Pat could no longer be his guard. They know Will is precocious and they failed as parents. Knowing how Will is so like himself, Brad utterly failed.

Granted you know more than I do, since this was your second read. I would have to also say that Wade has an emotional attachment to Sean. Otherwise, he couldn't enjoy sex with Sean as much as he seemed to.
-
It's good that Will is getting support for JJ. Brad (and Robbie) should have been behind JJ in the first place. I really don't care if they don't like figure skating, it's their son! This 'thing' between Wade and Sean has Matt in a tizzy. It's the old, 'It's ok for me but not for you.' Matt wants to have his cake and eat it too. Matt needs to come to grips with what he really wants or he is going to lose Wade... At least that is how I see it.
-
The thing with Brad and Will? Brad should have never brought it up in public. That was the biggest mistake and the reason for the instant rebellion. Absolutely, but in private. Remember how WIll felt on his birthday? This was more of the same. As for Carl, Matt wanted Wade's advice on how to get him off the team. Wade did that in the most expedient manner. Not only is Carl off the team, but getting him out of Stanford was part of that. Carl can't cause further problems if he isn't there.

Being broadsided by a large wave (I think I mentioned that as a danger) and only breaking a mast and the radio antenna is almost the least of what could have happened! Ben being knocked into the engine hold and hitting the engine with his head... He's lucky to have survived. Hell, they all are lucky! Now we have to wait to see if the amnesia is temporary or possibly permanent.

Geez! All these "Rah-Rah's"... This was only Friday night. We still have Saturday... You know, the next game and then Wade's date? After this night, I'm kinda wondering how Matt is gonna take it when Wade goes out with his lawyer! Yes. Why was Carl out to break Matt and Wade's relationship? What's the motivation?
-
And what's with Matt throwing Gathan into Wade's face? Gathan was a one-time thing (so far) and Matt knows this, yet gets hostile over it? This isn't a Carl vs Gathan thing going on here. Matt's gonna lose this and he is clueless.

College life is often a wake-up call for most freshmen, but it's easier for those who went to prep school. Still, being at a solid university is not something many high school graduates have a clue about.

Geezo! Is every gay guy a size queen? I know that growing up, especially in my teen years, I always thought I was smaller than everyone else (FACT: most guys looking at themselves think they are smaller than they actually are), based on what I saw in the showers (no, growing up, I never saw any of the guys throw wood). I was well into my twenties before I found out I was not smaller than most. A 2020 research article notes that most (American) males believe the average length of an erect penis is around 15.2 cm or 6 in. In fact, the average is much smaller. While sizes vary widely, the average length is probably 12.9–13.97 cm (5.1–5.5 in), and most likely toward the smaller end of this scale. While results vary slightly, most studies estimate the average to be within this range. Yes, there are some regional/cultural. But anything larger than 6 in is a rarity. Before anyone tries to flay me alive, some recent studies have indicated that gay men are, on average, about a half inch larger than hetero men.

I can only go by my own experiences. I believe that we fall in and out of love at various times, even with the same person. Even in a monogamist situation.

Something tragic has happened. Is anyone else injured? Ben doesn't know who the girl is, and worse, he doesn't know who he is! This is a very short chapter that leaves us with many questions and no answers.

First, it was JP vs Brad. Now, it's Brad vs Will. Gotta love it!

Hmm, so what's Gathan gonna do if Will wants to fuck him? 😁🤣

Chapter 6: The Real One
Al Norris commented on Mark Arbour's story chapter in Chapter 6: The Real One
A lot depends on where the bullet hit and whether you were jacked up on adrenaline (or other drugs). Sometimes, you don't even know you were shot. Pain may not set in for a bit. -
Chapter 6: April Fool's Day
Al Norris commented on Mark Arbour's story chapter in Chapter 6: April Fool's Day
SInce I started reading your series very late, I tend to look at the publishing date first, then how many responses before I start reading the chapter. All I can say is that I think I wore out the laughing emoji! -
Thank you, Mark. So far, Millennium is the story in the saga.
-
I enjoyed this chapter. Reading what happened to the two nut cases did not disturb me at all. What Brian did to the family merited what happened to him. I was slightly upset that Dino left DNA at the scene. It just might come back to haunt him. What happened to Carson didn't bother me in the least. He tried to destroy Brad by wrecking his marriage and then his mere presence threatened Will. Brad was willing to take out the trash.

Whatever Alexandra has on Elliot is somehow tied to that town in Belgium, Marvie. I wonder if we will find out, hmm?

The foreshadowing that others have spoken of, breaks my heart at this point.
