Sexual exploration by the children/kids was bound to happen. There is no way to stop it. If this is the worst "crisis" they have, then the Gaians are doing good! While I understand the concept that Joel is using, I don't think the people of Ark III need the FTL at the moment. -
I have the same concerns of @drsawzall and @ReaderPaul. I can't remember if the people of Ark II had developed weapons but they should be withheld. I also agree that FTL sentries should be posted at Elysia. "Trust but Verify" should be the message of the day!

It's hard to imagine the mindset that wants to destroy all of humanity. Wrongheaded in the extreme. Joel has it right though. No tech for these other guys unless or until more proof of their intentions. Certainly no tech to Earth.

That's what I was going to mention. As long as the blue remains blue without getting dark quickly... As for the courtroom scenes, they remind me an awful lot of the Perry Mason TV series (The books were much better - aren't they almost always).

I never faced that. No one ever knew but I've imagined that fear a thousand times. Who am I kidding? I felt that fear. I don't think my first wife had any idea I might have gay tendencies until toward the end of that marriage. My current wife knew long before I could admit it.

Grayson's Mum seems to be OK that he is gay. But, this is telling: As is this: So, Mum knows or suspects that Grayson is gay and we have a very possible homophobic dad. Then there is Mike at work. There is also the unknown person who saw Grayson with Mike and the snake. This is a lot of stuff to think about for a closeted gay boy!

I can see where Marc is also at an emotional growth stage. This is an example of not quite knowing the difference between loving someone and being in love with someone. Regardless if the other person is your true mate or not. Hopefully, when Sasha meets Marc's other friends (and lovers), he will understand Marc better and Marc will understand himself better. Otherwise, the breakup of being boyfriend to friends will be painful for both of them.

This is not always true. While on an ammo run, my driver and I had a hookup. I tested positive for gonorrhea the very next morning (my morning piss felt like razor blades). I'm only guessing, but she had to have had an extreme case of the clap.

I'm beginning to think that Travis is the one who will break it off with Will. Will had barely gotten off the phone with Travis (last chapter) and almost immediately goes to bed with Fab. Now he has told Marie that he has fucked Fab almost every day since. If he talks up Fab while Travis is there... Or if Fab wants a threesome with Will and Travis... I just can't see Travis taking that well. Has Travis hooked up with anyone yet? Doubly bad if he hasn't.

Uncle Jim will show nothing but disdain toward JJ if anything. More than likely, he will blow JJ off. This is also likely to be the end of JJ and Kris. The upshot of all this will be that JJ will likely commit suicide.

And with the underwear not amongst the folded clothes... Yeah. It would seem likely that she knows or suspects. Most STDs are bacterial and would show up quickly. HPV and HIV are viral and would take more time to show. HIV is more insidious and may not show up in the blood for months.

There is no doubt in my mind that Grayson was drugged. Consider that he only had 2 beers. He wanted to screen, but somehow no sound came out. He wanted to say no, but couldn't. Need I say more? Now, what was that question about consent? At what point was consent revoked due to being drugged? Quite frankly, Grayson was lucky that the anal tears were minimal. Likely due to being stretched by Mike in the first place. Oh, and the blood stain won't come out. It's been too long and has set. If'n ya ain't used to doing laundry, ya ain't gonna know this.
