  1. I just now came across this, but thank you Intune for the review. =)
  2. Over a month ago, I started posting my new story entitled "The Paradox of Friendship." I have a few chapters posted now and figured I should actually make a discussion forum for it. Description of the story: Nix Willows is oblivious to everything, including the events of a party that occured two years prior. Riley and Dexter, two of his best friends, are not so oblivious. They are all too aware of the events of the party and have taken it upon themselves to bully Spencer Rawlins because of Spencer's involvement in the events of the party. Spencer also has scars from the party, but no one seems to care about him. That is until Nix intervenes on his behalf against Riley and Dexter. But they do not immediately become friends. Meanwhile, Spencer meets the mysterious Artie Dillon. It soon becomes obvious that not everything is how it seems. This is the lengthy story of how Nix and Spencer forged a friendship against all odds that later becomes a romantic relationship and how the scars from the party finally begin to heal. Link to the story: http://www.gayauthor...doxoffriendship The story is split into three sections, and each is progressively darker than the last. It is not a story that immediately jumps to a relationship between Spencer and Nix. Instead, it tells the entire journey to that point. Keep in mind, the rating is mature for a reason. There are touchy subjects; among them are rape and psychological manipulation. Here you can discuss anything that is not addressed in a review or ask any question you may have regarding the story.
  3. Thank you for your response. I usually update the story every week; it's normally on Thursdays. It's an oversight on my behalf about how quickly people heals. I'm not sure if I made it clear, but Oliver is still in pain. He tries to avert his attention elsewhere.
  4. It's been long overdue, HJ, but I finally got around to re-reading this. (So that if we ever do discuss this again, I'll know which version you're talking about.) Although I know what's going to happen (or at least I think I remember), this chapter saddens me greatly. BUT I'm moving on to the next one. =)
  5. Thank you for your feedback. I'm glad you like my chapter titles--I enjoy going back through what I've written and deciding what fits best. I'm also glad that you like the story. I'm trying to consistently update once a week (though sometimes--especially near midterms and finals at my college--it's two weeks before I update.) I hope I don't disappoint in future chapters! =)
  6. When I get back to my dorm room, the first thing I do is drop my backpack and collapse on my bed (regardless of what time it is/how much stuff is piled on it.) When I first get back home on the weekends, I unload my car and then once again collapse on my bed (a different bed though.) So it's not much different from one place to the next. =)
  7. When I was a kid, I wanted to be a firefighter. I can remember drawing that in kindergarten for a school assignment. When I entered high school, I wanted to be either a surgeon or a pediatrician. Now I really want to be a social worker to work with kids and an author on the side. What are my plans after college? Attend law school to become a lawyer, because, sadly, there isn't any good social working jobs around where I live. But I will continue to write. =)
  8. Hey all. I've just posted a new story, Ground Rules (link provided below). Check it out if you haven't already. It's my first story on this website, and feedback is greatly appreciated. Description of story: Atticus has a pretty normal life, but he is secretly gay. His family means the world to him, because he feels he owes them a lot. The only two people who know he is gay is Easton and Kody, both recently outed. The three are in a secret relationship of sorts, which satisfies Atticus until he meets Oliver. Oliver has been in love with Atticus since the first moment he laid eyes on him, but Atticus does not have a clue who he is. He is also secretly gay; his social climbing parents would flip out if they knew, as would his homophobic best friend. When Oliver loses everything, can Atticus put it all back together? Link to Story: http://www.gayauthor...ine/groundrules This is a forum to discuss any aspect of Ground Rules that is not already addressed in a review.
  9. My friend texts me, "Good morning, Sunshine." every morning when she wakes up, and I reply back, calling her Moonlight. It's been that way for about a year now, and the nicknames have just stuck. So I used that as a base and the rest of it just sorta happened.
  10. I'd want to be a cat, but not the ones psychologists use to study the brain with. Just a regular cat.
  11. Wow. I'm slightly boring... This Google (with nothing searched as of now)
  12. You are : Rocky Road The path you walk on is rocky and full of obstacles. Good thing it's also paved with chocolate, almonds, and marshmallows!
  13. "Hallelujah" by Jeff Buckley. It makes me happy.
  14. Spring. The weather gets warmer, and summer's just around the corner. =)
  15. Hi! I'm not new to writing but I'm new here. I'm looking forward to posting stories on here. =)
