It's never easy talking about things like this. My mum has battled with depression for ten years and when she is in one of her depressive moods she is so low. The number of times I've found mum in a similar situation as this over the years, I've lost count, and it never gets any easier to cope with - for her or for me. She has her good spells though for which I'm thankful. I thank you for sharing and I wish you all the best.

Nice to be reading about the trip to my neck of the woods, but I dread to think of trying to get that many kids around London in one piece. I also got told off by a Beefeater when I was their age - for scaring the ravens (apparently a big no no). Though I am one of the biggest criminals for having tatare sauce with my fish and chips (but don't tell anyone). -
Just as my alarm clock went off, the front door bell rang. I glanced over at the clock, knowing it would be seven o’clock because the alarm had just gone off, but I wanted to make sure. The doorbell rang again. Who in the name of all the demons in Hell would be ringing my doorbell at the crack of dawn? It's nice to see the older kids helping out their younger brothers without even being asked. I wonder without Josh's influence if they would be quite as caring? Although Ricky's growing up, it's still nice to see his inner child creating mischief. I suppose because I'm still known to cause mischief every now and then. -
I'll read anything by either Bill W or Comicality - regardless of genre, plot etc. Otherwise, I'll always read the first chapter of any story and then take it from there. I love one on here called "Shane". It's had a few negative comments, but it's a lovely story. I also enjoy the occassional weepy.

Thanks for the feedback Cia. It's not my usually type of story, but I enjoyed writing it. I'm usually very much the soppy, happy ending, romantic. I didn't realise I'd left the colostomy bit in, I thought I'd deleted that bit on the rewrite. That'll teach me to not re-read before I post.

My secondary school has decided to have an end of year dance for the year nine kids and we are supposed to ask someone to accompany us to the dance as our date. Lovely ending. Such a big build up to their first kiss. It's really nice reading a story for a change where they're not jumping into bed with each other the second they meet. It's that whole 'will they/won't they' that I love, makes the ending even sweeter for me.

If you call that a nearly perfect ending, what do you call a perfect ending? A great ending, and I started crying over the adoption. It reminded me of when a friend of mine was finally adopted after his parents died. -

I'm so glad Josh has decided against having sex with the boys. The way some of the earlier chapters were written, I was worried they were foreshadowing a darker side to Josh, especially with his attitudes to 'free love' and nudity. I suppose it's something we are all capable of, but it's our abillty to tell right from wrong which seperates us from the animal kingdom. -

I love the Chinese buffet bit. A friend and I were once asked to leave a Pizza Hut after we ate too much - we ate about £50 of pizza. Would also click the like button, but GA apparently doesn't like the fact I have liked too many chapters today.
