This is great, thank you Cia for explaining this. I'm learning all the time and although I have no idea what a 'subjunctive mood' is or a 'perfect aspect', I definitely share your interest in 'dangling modifiers'! Only saying.

I would have happily slept all day on Saturday, had it not been for a promise that I had made more than a month ago to Rory. Last night’s incredible adventure at Nathan’s house, still dominated my thoughts, but I needed somehow to put it all to one side for a few hours and return to my English mode, in order to cheer on the national team in South Africa. Spending the afternoon in the delectable company of Rory, was a pretty good incentive for me, even with the understanding that no matter what I

Chapter 58 Sleeping with the Enemy
Dodger commented on Dodger's story chapter in Chapter 58 Sleeping with the Enemy
Thank you sweetlion, yes, of course, it is worth remembering that the boys are still young and relatively inexperienced/shy around one another. This is something that I have tried to portray, rather than have everything working perfectly, which would be highly unlikely under the circumstances. I wanted to try to keep it real while maintaining a naughty element. I'm not sure if I succeeded or not. Time will tell. -

Thanks, Parker, maybe that would be asking too much, we'll see. -

Thank you wenmale for your interesting review and comment. The walls are fast closing in, and Robbie's secret will be out soon. We will have to wait and see what position Nicola takes when the shit hits the fan. -

I don't think that Robbie talks in his sleep, and if he does then Daniel may have been a bigger problem. He certainly needs to be wary of Nicola though. -
“You look really cute when you cum,” he said, before planting another long kiss on my lips. I looked at him curiously, as I lie on my back, taking deep breaths and listening to my heart still thumping inside. “Your face I mean; it’s so sexy.” He was lying next to me on his side, smiling. I was still in dreamland. “Was that nice baby?” I nodded my appreciation of his hard work, as my body slowly returned to somewhere close to normal. “I guess you don’t need any lessons in that department.” He g

Good point, but the basement is a fairly safe place for Nathan, as it's not really used by his parents. We can only hope that they've been careful with their clothing, though.

Thanks sweetlion, I hope the next chapter lives up to your expectations. I appreciate your review.

Thank you for your review wenmale, I hope you like the next one. I look forward to reading your opinion.

I suppose that I should have known better than to try to outsmart Nathan. ‘I’m not very good at cards’, was what he had said to me. ‘I’ve been practicing with my sister’. Like this guy really needed to practice at poker. “You're a hustler!” I said, throwing in my hand. “Oops, I think I’ve won again,” he said excitedly, looking down at his three Queens. It was enough to beat my crappy hand, and I was beginning to wonder where he kept getting those cards from. He had a wicked smile on his face,

Thanks for taking the time to review SolarMaxx. It is so encouraging to hear that people are enjoying the story. I am so pleased that you decided to give it a shot and I can assure you that the story will come to a conclusion. It's already finished, all I'm doing is editing each chapter before posting. However, to answer the second part of your question, the ending is still quite a way off and there are a few developments along the way. I hope you continue to enjoy it.

Yeah, Nathan may be about to pull off a double bluff and turn the table on Robbie. Whatever happens, it looks like being a win, win situation for the boys.

Thank you for your review. Wow, somebody reading the story from Cobourg is pretty cool. I hope that you continue to enjoy.

Thank you so much CLS for your kind words, and encouragement. This is something that I've grappled with for a long time now. I've been wondering whether I have more than one story in me to tell. The problem is after putting so much love and effort into a project like this, it's going to be difficult, maybe impossible for me to just call it a day and give up writing. I love it too much and as long as there's somebody out there who enjoys what I'm doing, then I'll continue to write. I've already started another story, which will start posting soon, and it will be interesting to see what kind of reaction it gets. Thank you for your support and for your interest in my interest. I hope that I am able to keep you entertained.

Chapter 55 Practice Makes Perfect
Dodger commented on Dodger's story chapter in Chapter 55 Practice Makes Perfect
Thanks for your review. Your point is very relevant and Robbie's fatherless childhood is something that I have been trying to convey in the story. -
I'd love to be able to say that I did this on purpose, but it is pure coincidence.

After Monday’s disturbing encounter with Jake and Tuesday’s embarrassing episode at Nathan’s house, I was relieved to see the following day pass without incident. As frustrating as it was, the new—no sitting together at lunch—policy that I had agreed with Nathan, was proving to be a good decision. I knew that it wasn’t going to stop the likes of Jake from broadcasting his homophobic hatred about me, but at least if we weren’t seen together, there was very little evidence to support his claims. Chapter 55 Practice Makes Perfect
Dodger commented on Dodger's story chapter in Chapter 55 Practice Makes Perfect
Yeah, I think that Robbie should have opted for the even tighter cycling shorts. That would have really created a bit of interest at home. He probably has been a little hard on himself over this little incident. It's not as embarrassing as he thinks, and he shouldn't consider it as a failure. If all goes to plan on Friday and they manage to take their relationship to the next level, then Perhaps the nerves will settle a little between them and Robbie will be able to save it for when it really matters. Thank you Tim for yet another fine review. I don't know how you find the time to do so much on this site. I greatly appreciate the sometimes hard-hitting, often humorous, but always friendly comments and advice that you've provided throughout the past year. I hope that you have a wonderful holiday period. -

Thank you for your encouraging words. I'm glad that you're enjoying the story and hope that you stick with it until the end. Without giving too much away, the end is still quite a way off, probably sometime next summer. The next chapter however, will be posted Xmas day and is all about Friday night! -
“Hey gorgeous, you look sexy today, come in.” “Err…. Hi Karen,” I said as I walked in and slipped off my sneakers. She put her arm on my shoulder and then shouted towards the stairs. “NATHAN, SOMEONE’S HERE TO SEE YOU, AND HE’S LOOKING PRETTY CUTE.” “No need to shout, I’m right here,” he said, walking from the opposite direction. “Hey you.” His face lit up the moment he saw me and he beamed a welcoming smile as he reached out to take my hand. It still felt odd to do that in company, and I had

Chapter 54 Better the Devil You Know
Dodger commented on Dodger's story chapter in Chapter 54 Better the Devil You Know
I'm pretty sure that everyone on here would agree that Jake is quite an unsavory character, and unfortunately there are too many of his type still at large. I think that we've all come across the likes of him in real life. They're everywhere, and as Robbie is finding out Canada is no exception. Whether or not he will find an unlikely ally in Alex, or even more problems, remains to be seen. Thanks for the review Tim. -

Robbie certainly seems to be a magnet for trouble, but he doesn't make it easy for himself either. -
“If I ever try to get on a bike again; I want you to shoot me,” I said, staring at the ceiling as Daniel studied himself in the mirror. He was already dressed and ready for school, although, in the summer, it required a lot less effort, and fewer layers. “Where did you go yesterday?” he asked. “I went for a ride around town and got lost.” “How can you get lost in Cobourg?” he said and laughed. “I could get lost in…in…wherever.” It was too early to think of anything funny to say, and my legs
