  1. Daniel will definitely play an important part when the inevitable happens. How soon, remains to be seen, but Robbie can be a little careless and of course he's totally smitten.
  2. Thanks for sticking with it droughtquake and for your helpful reviews, which are always noted. Plenty more to come from this story.
  3. Yeah, they seem to work quite well as a couple. Thanks for reading and reviewing.
  4. On Friday, I was showered, dressed and ready to go by five. Nathan had texted me earlier and we agreed to dress down, as if we were meeting as friends, rather than going on a date. I chose dark-blue jeans, a grey polo shirt and my favourite light-blue denim jacket, but underneath I was groomed to perfection. Although I was sure that nothing physical would happen between us that night, it was reasonable to expect some kissing, after all, we had kissed before on a couple of occasions and he had ev
  5. Thank you so much for your kind review nighthawke, it means a lot. It's good to know that you're enjoying the story.
  6. Robbie's attraction to Nathan goes way beyond his boyish good looks. From the very beginning he has admired the younger boy's self-confidence and ability to handle certain situations and people (Nicola, Don etc.} better than he has. Maybe some of this maturity will rub off on the very impressionable young boy from England.
  7. Yes it's been a long time coming and I think that Robbie can count himself lucky to have got this far. There will no doubt be plenty of challenges and drama ahead for the new couple.
  8. Nathan's self-confidence and general awareness, may prove to be the perfect antidote for Robbie's clumsy and sometimes inept attempts to fit into his new life.
  9. Undoubtedly!
  10. Thanks for a great review and yes Robbie is besotted and needs to be more careful if he has any chance of keeping the lid on this.
  11. I think that everyone was getting a little fed up with Robbie's dithering, eapecially Nathan!
  12. “He has…I mean…really?” My lips were moving, forming words and asking questions, but my mind had seemingly ceased to function as normal. It was as if I had suddenly run, full pelt, into a brick wall. I stumbled over my words and my voice cracked. I was momentarily dazed and unsure if I had heard him correctly. “Who?” “It’s so funny eh,” said Daniel and he started to laugh, but my face was deadly serious. It would have been impossible to hide my disappointment; no actor could have ever pulle
  13. Thanks for the great review Tim. I think that Robbie may be learning how to deal with Nicola. Losing his temper and lashing out will only play into her hands, but nobody likes to be made fun of. As for Nathan, it's clear that there has been a mutual attraction from the very beginning and although he seems to be a little more mature than Robbie, he's young and may be willing to give it a shot.
  14. Thanks Parker. A lot of Robbie's problems are of his own making and maybe a slightly tougher approach from Don and Sue will make him realize this. Nicola is going to be a problem however, which he will have to deal with sooner or later, if he is going to make it out of the hole that he has been digging for himself.
  15. Thanks Skinnydragon, a great review as always. We'll see how right you are. Nathan's not just a pretty face and has warned Robbie more than once about the possible problems that he would face being a gay teenager in that family.
  16. Thanks for the review. I think that Robbie has suffered greatly from his inability to be honest from the outset. Maybe things could have been a whole easier for him if he hadn't of insisted on trying to be someone who he clearly wasn't.
  17. Thanks for your review Redwood. I agree that Robbie has made more than his share of mistakes and it's likely to cost him in some way. Whatever happens, Daniel will no doubt play a key role in the proceedings.
  18. Thanks for the review. I think that Robbie would be better off talking direct to Nathan, rather than listening and acting on gossip. Whether he will or not is another matter.
  19. Thanks for the review. We will have to wait and see if your theory is correct or not. Robbie will have to find out who was at the party and do a little detective work, or maybe just get some courage and talk to Nathan about it.
  20. All is not lost for these two. Don't forget that Nathan is a central character within the story. I can however, understand your frustration at Robbie's failure to grab the carrot that's been dangling in front of him for so long.
  21. Yes, Robbie could have made it so much easier for himself by being prepared to admit his sexuality to himself at an earlier stage. Thanks for the review as always.
  22. After getting home from school on Tuesday, Sue led me upstairs to Nicola’s room where I stood next to her and waited, head bowed for the door to open. “Robbie has got something to say to you,” she said, to a very smug looking Nicola who stood in the doorway with her hands on her hips. “Haven’t you dear?” She prodded me in the ribs and I glanced up briefly, trying to avoid any eye contact with the girl who had quickly become my sworn enemy. “Oh…err…yeah,” I said, “I’m sorry for telling you to F
  23. I'm divided in my loyalty to my home country Canada and my adopted home for many years, the UK. Both are doing reasonably well, but team GB will have its work cut out, if they are to replicate their success of four years ago in London. Well done also to the Aussies, another favorite country of mine, who always seem to box well above their weight and the good ole USA, where every athlete, from every country and every sport seems to want to train.
  24. I agree with Drew; this is lowest form of journalism, the guy is a disgrace to his profession.
  25. Nicola has a problem with Robbie, because she sees him constantly being able to get away with stuff that she never could. Don and Sue have made exceptions for Robbie because of his circumstances, but Nicola resents this and believes that he's playing everyone for a fool.
