  1. I think that it's going to be impossible to the lid on it for very long. We will have to wait and see what reactions they get from various family members and friends.
  2. I was woken up on Saturday by somebody shouting in my ear. “IT’S TIME TO GET UP ROBBIE!” It was Nicola and she laughed as I jumped from my dream and lifted my head from the pillow, startled and groggy. I groaned at her and dropped back down pulling the duvet back over my face. In the universal body language of all teenagers, this could be translated into ‘fuck off and let me sleep’ and most people would have understood this and backed off, but not her. “Are you gonna stay in bed a
  3. Thanks once again Skinnydragon. The general view seems to be that Robbie will soon be out and I think that this is inevitable. Whichever way this happens, it won't be as easy for him, as it was for Nathan and I doubt if he'll get a cake for it either.
  4. Yeah, I think that Robbie is learning the benefits of being honest, both with his potential partner and with himself. He makes a lot of mistakes, but has a good heart. Nathan and Robbie seem like a good match.
  5. Whatever happens, Nicola will no doubt play a big part in it, as will Daniel. Thanks again for a great review droughtquake.
  6. Bugs Bunny, Mickey Mouse? Nah, way too goody goody for my liking. I prefer someone with a bit of attitude and fallibility like Donald or Daffy. Ducks seem to have the monopoly on this type of character.
  7. We sat holding hands and staring out at the vast expanse of water that they called Lake Ontario. It was dark and foreboding and the only lights were from the small lighthouse at the end of the harbour wall, which jutted out a few hundred yards into the water. We parted hands only briefly whenever somebody walked passed, but those interruptions were becoming more sporadic, as the time edged closer to eleven o’clock. It wasn’t quite paradise, for a start, it wasn’t nearly warm enough, but it was p
  8. Thanks for your review Redwood. Robbie is a little impetuous and totally infatuated with Nathan, so he may be taking a few too many risks to have any chance of staying in the closet. We will see.
  9. Daniel will definitely play an important part when the inevitable happens. How soon, remains to be seen, but Robbie can be a little careless and of course he's totally smitten.
  10. Thanks for sticking with it droughtquake and for your helpful reviews, which are always noted. Plenty more to come from this story.
  11. Yeah, they seem to work quite well as a couple. Thanks for reading and reviewing.
  12. On Friday, I was showered, dressed and ready to go by five. Nathan had texted me earlier and we agreed to dress down, as if we were meeting as friends, rather than going on a date. I chose dark-blue jeans, a grey polo shirt and my favourite light-blue denim jacket, but underneath I was groomed to perfection. Although I was sure that nothing physical would happen between us that night, it was reasonable to expect some kissing, after all, we had kissed before on a couple of occasions and he had ev
  13. Thank you so much for your kind review nighthawke, it means a lot. It's good to know that you're enjoying the story.
  14. Robbie's attraction to Nathan goes way beyond his boyish good looks. From the very beginning he has admired the younger boy's self-confidence and ability to handle certain situations and people (Nicola, Don etc.} better than he has. Maybe some of this maturity will rub off on the very impressionable young boy from England.
  15. Yes it's been a long time coming and I think that Robbie can count himself lucky to have got this far. There will no doubt be plenty of challenges and drama ahead for the new couple.
  16. Nathan's self-confidence and general awareness, may prove to be the perfect antidote for Robbie's clumsy and sometimes inept attempts to fit into his new life.
  17. Undoubtedly!
  18. Thanks for a great review and yes Robbie is besotted and needs to be more careful if he has any chance of keeping the lid on this.
  19. I think that everyone was getting a little fed up with Robbie's dithering, eapecially Nathan!
  20. “He has…I mean…really?” My lips were moving, forming words and asking questions, but my mind had seemingly ceased to function as normal. It was as if I had suddenly run, full pelt, into a brick wall. I stumbled over my words and my voice cracked. I was momentarily dazed and unsure if I had heard him correctly. “Who?” “It’s so funny eh,” said Daniel and he started to laugh, but my face was deadly serious. It would have been impossible to hide my disappointment; no actor could have ever pulle
  21. Thanks for the great review Tim. I think that Robbie may be learning how to deal with Nicola. Losing his temper and lashing out will only play into her hands, but nobody likes to be made fun of. As for Nathan, it's clear that there has been a mutual attraction from the very beginning and although he seems to be a little more mature than Robbie, he's young and may be willing to give it a shot.
  22. Thanks Parker. A lot of Robbie's problems are of his own making and maybe a slightly tougher approach from Don and Sue will make him realize this. Nicola is going to be a problem however, which he will have to deal with sooner or later, if he is going to make it out of the hole that he has been digging for himself.
  23. Thanks Skinnydragon, a great review as always. We'll see how right you are. Nathan's not just a pretty face and has warned Robbie more than once about the possible problems that he would face being a gay teenager in that family.
  24. Thanks for the review. I think that Robbie has suffered greatly from his inability to be honest from the outset. Maybe things could have been a whole easier for him if he hadn't of insisted on trying to be someone who he clearly wasn't.
  25. Thanks for your review Redwood. I agree that Robbie has made more than his share of mistakes and it's likely to cost him in some way. Whatever happens, Daniel will no doubt play a key role in the proceedings.
