    Odd Story

Actually it is a mule. Although I have seen some donkeys that would be quite able to accomplish the same thing. You have heard the old saying "Stuborn as a Mule" well there loyalty runs just as deep. Mules Rule!

    Odd Story

True But I figure that could take care of quite a few of the young ones.
  3. Check out Dan Kirks "Do Over"
  4. Be sure and check out some of the other authors, you could be in for a very pleasant surprise! Mike
  5. Free Bird by Lynard Skynyrd
  6. I think it is just fine to bring it up here Dom. I don't have any suggestions right now, but I do have some ideas I want to check out. What age range in childrens books does she want to work with, or rather what age of children does she want to reach with her art? Mike

    Odd Story

Sounds like they need to introduce a few thousand mongooses to that area.
  8. Well it has been a year since I last wrote one, so I will give it a try again.
  9. This is quite good Blue. I am looking forward to more of it. However if I had found on someother story site, I most likely would not have read it. It takes a while to really get into it. Something that might help you was a writer's guide that was posted on Nifty today. The Hook It is about making sure that your story grabs readers right from the start of the story. Looking forward to more. Mike
  10. He is just asking for Harry Potter and X-men fanfic is all. Slaveboy, just offered up some published works that he thougt a lot of! That he thought might be of interest to Tyrel, not much to be confused about here. Ty You might want to check out the two stories posted in the library by moonwalker. They really have a different twist on the harry potter series! Hugs Mike
  11. Yes a bestest happy birthday BM :2hands: Would this be a good time to ask how your story is coming along??? Hugs Mike
  12. You know I was just checking out how many member we have, it is really quite impressive. 1,117 If you times that amount by the cost of 1 new novel on the market you would come up with $8,880.15. That means if each and every member help to support this site with just the cost of one paperback novel a month, oh my god what a site we would have. Serioulsy folks, think about this, ninty percent of of net authors never receive any kind of payment. For the price of one novel we could keep this site going and return something to the authors of the stories that are posted here. Gives you something to think about does it not??????
  13. I really wonder if some of you have any idea of what it takes to put together a site like this? Myr has put years into this. It has been a long struggle but it is really paying off. We are getting quite a crowd here now. But I wonder if you you folks really know what you have? I guess I am a little dissapotined in the new poll on the archives. I wonder if any of you really know how much effort goes into finding really good stories to link to, or host on this site???? We really are blessed, we have authors that are members and hosted here that should really have their books in print. But we have the honor of being able to read their works for free. Finding these stories is not a simple thing. You say most of them are posted at Nifty? Fine then I challenge you go to nifty and find one that is not linked here. There are some mind you, I have not posted links to all that I love over there yet. But I want you all to realize that it takes a lot of reading to find a good story to link to. Finding a good author is not easy, but there are many of them out there, try going to a book store and finding the amount or quaility of authors that we have to offer here! I am one of the major contributer of authors to this site and I want to tell you it is not easy, but it is rewarding. Each time I find a quality author for you guys, I find them for myself also. But a lot of times you have to read through a lot of crap to find the good stuff. You really have to give a author a few chapters to find out how good they are. Thus I read way more than I should. I really think that you folks should go back and check the poll on the archives out again and think about it a bit. Go to your local book store and price the books. Then I even dare you to try and find the selection you have here! This site is worth it weight in gold. Merlin, I really want to thank you for you dream here and for what you have accomplished. I remember when this was just a little idea in the back of your head and I am so gald that you went ahead with with it. May you goals in IRL come to gether as well as this site has. Hugs Michael
  14. I am really gald that you joined even though you are not a reader, but you do need to realize that the name of our site is a rather large clue! "GayAuthors " We are about writing, and stories. We do still welcome you here, we have lots of folks posting on a variety of subjcects and you are more than welcome to join in, however you feel comfortable. But you do need to realize that this site is really about stories and writing. We have much more than that going on but that is our basis, or essence.
  15. Yes a very happy Birthday to each of you!!!
  16. The logistics of this one would be quite hard and time comsuming to complete. First off most stories are offered for personal download and enjoyment. Most authors make it a point that downloading and changing their stories and/or redistrubting them is against their wishes. So to begin with you would have to have each Authors permission before you could do this. Then if you where going to take this on you would have to have a good program to accomplish the mission. There are really only two choices and that is PDF or TXT. You can get Acrobate Reader for free and most systems come with a program that will read TXT. DOC There is one free program out that I know about that will read them, but most folks are not aware of it. Actually this something that I have considered doing, using Acrobat Pro to convert the stories into PDF's. If any authors are interested in having it done please let me know. Mike
  17. Maybe he is just having a "Bad Hair Day"
  18. I really like the new PM notifier. It Rocks!
  19. Kind of like keeping a on line diary! I really like all the new featues so far. Looks great and very smooth working. Mike
  20. Now Shadows............. A Never option??????????? Do you really want that? Give yourself some time, and belive in yourself. In time you will meet someone that will make you care a great deal. I know the way I started this thread did not let you know that I belived that, however I have known many that are in sucessfull retaltionships. Now Shadow, I know that times can be very tough at your age. I would like it a lot if you would loose that word Never!, just make like it does not exist. Replace it with Maybe, perhaps, or perchance!!!!!! You never know we can dream can we not. Hugs Mike
  21. Ted that was a very good reply By the way folks I started this thread, but under a different user name. Long story, but short answer Bluesdreamer and Sparhawk one and the same. But one thing that was said . Individual time! My best friend and I will not say that it is sexual in any way. He is just the best friend that I have in the world. A lot of times when we are together we will do nothing more than read a novel, each to our own novel. You can be so alone in a crowd of folks, but yet so together with just yet a friend, even if you are not talking.......................
  22. Man I can not wait till November gets here. Thanks for the link Myr. Mike
