  1. Toss up between 'Latter Days' & 'Beautiful Thing'...both have that wonderful coming of age story...but I probably lean towards 'Beautiful Thing' cuz of that Mama Cass soundtrack...

    Chapter 4

RIDING LESSONS By Andrew Todd Chapter 4 Dusty watched Zak and Onyx for a few minutes. He couldn’t believe that this horse, of all the animals at the ranch, had taken so completely to Zak. “Come on, Zak, time to head out.” Zak hugged Onyx. “See you tomorrow, Big Boy.” As he walked out of the stall, he had a mischievous glint in his eye. “I seem to remember you saying something about a surprise?” Dusty grinned at him. “Yes, but it’s not here. So let’s go.” He and Zak walked out to his t

    Chapter 3

RIDING LESSONS By Andrew Todd Chapter 3 Zak looked right into Dusty’s eyes as the older boy was kissing him. Dusty’s eyes bugged out and he jumped back. “I’m sorry.” This was the first time Zak had seen Dusty unsure of himself all day. “I’m really sorry. I must have read the signals wrong, or maybe I was just hoping and seeing what I wanted to see. If you don’t want to work with me this summer, I can have Mr. Jones team you up with one of the hands so you can still work.” Zak picked him
  4. As someone who has just started writing I find the feedback invaluable. Especially, since I am usually way ahead in writing vs. where I am posting. If something isn't working for people then I can go back and 'fix' chapters that haven't yet posted. I don't like when any writer says they will stop writing if they don't get enough 'feedback'. That might work if you are writing for a living since feedback would equal revenue. But I'm writing because I've come to enjoy it. Hearing from people who enjoy what I am producing is just icing on the cake. I understand the readers who don't think about comments. I've been one of those for many years. It wasn't until I started writing that I started considering leaving feedback to let other writers know how much I enjoy their work. It's really important to encourage those writers you enjoy. There's so much 'junk' out there, letting those writers who produce the 'gold' know you like their work will keep them producing more...

    Chapter 2

RIDING LESSONS By Andrew Todd Chapter 2 Zak stood there holding the hand of the most beautiful boy he had ever seen. His heart started pounding in his chest and he felt lightheaded. If ever he had doubted that he was indeed gay, this moment ended those doubts. If he were a more forward person, he would have probably thrown himself at Dusty’s feet and let him have his way with him. But, he wasn’t that forward or brave a person and he just stood there, speechless. “Hey, buddy,” Dusty laugh
  6. Zak is a shy quiet 15 year old whose mother gets him a summer job at a local ranch. Zak's sure it's going to be the summer from Hell until he meets 16 year-old ranch hand, Dusty.

    Chapter 1

RIDING LESSONS By Andrew Todd Chapter 1 The sharp rap on the door, followed by an urgent, “Zak, are you up!?” made Zak bolt upright in bed. “’M up, Mom, I’m up,” he mumbled. “We have to leave in a half hour; you need to be downstairs in 15 minutes if you want to have breakfast before I drop you off at work.” “Ok, I’ll be right down.” He heard her walk away from the door and head back downstairs. He laid back down on his bed, pulled his pillow over his face and screamed as loud as he c
  8. I've been a DC junkie since birth (as proved by the Batman/Superman & Robin tattoos on my arm). Batman is the man. Scott Snyder's current Batman book is the best it's been in years...love it!!
  9. Kathleen Kennedy one of Spielberg's long time producing partners will be president of Lucasfilms. Disney is defintely going to exploit the brand, but they've definitely helped Marvel along...

  11. We're very much in a one step forward, two steps back state these days, but at least some progress is being made. One positve voice on an NFL team is one more than we had several years ago. Acceptance is not a fight that will be won overnight. Everytime I get down about the prejudices and hatred out there I think back to being in High School in the early-80s...happy that we've made so much progress and pissed that we have so much farther to go...
