LOL, you're not the only one to think so. For someone who has never liked kids, I'm not sure how I came up with such a cute one in a story.
Thank you for reading and commenting.
I like to think that too. It's a major reason this story was dedicated to you. You bring out the romance in my writing and let me indulge in a tiny bit of sappiness now and then, knowing you will approve.
Thank you, LL. Yes, Patrick desperately needed love, family and friends in his life. It's one of the most satisfying part of being the author of this story to give him and Peter what they deserve. I'm happy to think my readers get joy from this as well.
You're absolutely right about Patrick helping people with unobtrusive kindness. He has the ability and means and now he has Peter as a sounding board. Getting connected to the world around him will give Patrick the chance to shine a light into more deserving lives, and yes Sonia is high on the list. But he's careful and will make sure he has all the facts before doing anything.
Yes, the guardian I borrowed from @aditus is coming in handy. No nasty infections or complications will get past his vigilant gaze.
I'm delighted you enjoyed the surprise chapter.
I know you didn't. In fact, the thought of you waiting patiently for another chapter, without even hinting about pitch forks and torches, was a great incentive.
LOL, well you did your best to prod me along. I appreciate the encouraging PMs and the fact you didn't give up on me. I'll do my best to keep writing and posting.
Thank you for reading and commenting.
LOL, you're quite right, it was a terribly long time. I'm glad the chapter was worth the wait, and I hope I'll be able to update you on Michael and his dads soon.
Thank you for reading and commenting. I'm pleased to know the foot notes are OK with your screen reader.
Thank you, Batman. It certainly feels good to be back, and I'm doing a for every like and comment. I'm glad you approved of Patrick getting stories and pictures of his mother. Perhaps I was inspired by a certain story I've just been reading, although this chapter was done before i took a trip down memory lane.
Never worry about Michael, his guardian angel will keep him safe.
Thanks, Sweetlion, I'm glad you liked the part about Patrick's Mum. I wasn't sure how it would be received, but it felt important to me. I promise Michael will be fine.
Thank you for reading and commenting.
LOL, I know. Let's hope the wait for the result of the surgery is weeks not months.
Maybe you did have a guardian angel, and I think we'd all put up with an A.I. team or a cupid if Peter was the reward.
Thank you for reading and commenting.
That's OK, Peter and Patrick are the main protagonists, and everyone else are side characters for them to 'act' around. As long as you like the two men, I'm happy.
I can see you took a fast track through all the chapters in between to get to this point. I'm enjoying getting comments for old chapters, so please drop more. You've already made my day so far.
Good, but don't read too fast, because you'll run out of chapters. Oh, too late.
I'm so pleased to have several new readers who like my story, but you're special, because you comment too. (no hug, right? )
Thank you, Sam, I'm so happy you found my story and enjoy it. I look forward to hearing your opinions. I hope you're aware it only updates very slowly.
Patrick, Peter and Alice got up around six and had a quick breakfast before they left the house to catch the tube to the hospital. Peter wanted to be there around seven and Alice insisted on joining them.
“I can take care of Mum, so you two can focus on each other, while Michael is in surgery. We need to catch up on various matters anyway. It will be a good distraction for her.”
Patrick felt the need for distraction was mutual, even though Alice kept a cheerful face and denied being worr
Nope, my muse have returned, at least for quick visits now and then, and I actually have a chapter ready to post. I was trying to get the next one written too, but I think I'll go ahead. Will that make you happy ?
