    Thank you, Batman. It certainly feels good to be back, and I'm doing a for every like and comment. I'm glad you approved of Patrick getting stories and pictures of his mother. Perhaps I was inspired by a certain story I've just been reading, although this chapter was done before i took a trip down memory lane. Never worry about Michael, his guardian angel will keep him safe.

    LOL, I know. Let's hope the wait for the result of the surgery is weeks not months. Maybe you did have a guardian angel, and I think we'd all put up with an A.I. team or a cupid if Peter was the reward. Thank you for reading and commenting.

    I'll have to add them to my shopping list. I've only read the Wizard series by DD. They're great, even if she did mix up characters in Deep Wizardry.

    That's OK, Peter and Patrick are the main protagonists, and everyone else are side characters for them to 'act' around. As long as you like the two men, I'm happy.

    Patrick, Peter and Alice got up around six and had a quick breakfast before they left the house to catch the tube to the hospital.
