Carrots - one of my favorite vegetables. Makes me want to dig out my multi-chapter story about a closeted professional cyclist and start translating and writing more. Carrots and candles figure in the early chapters, and with similar results.
I'm glad this chapter was completely devoted to Jay and Mickey. Their love and devotion are wonderful to witness, as well as the care they have for each other. You gave them a lovely romantic meal, but now I'm craving chocolate cake.
Thanks, Jeff, I'm hoping to get another chapter written for Valentine's Day, but no promises.
Yeah, the story about the abusive father was mentioned in the first chapter, in the background story about Patrick.
The nasty Dr. Spock has a lot to answer for. I feel sorry for all those poor US guys and I'm so pleased you're pointing out this ridiculous custom of baby boy mutilation.
Anyway, the glory hole was fun, but I can understand Matt's reluctance.
I was a bit confused about Joe having a name change to Dan, but I worked it out eventually. The tooth brush incident was cute. I wish they didn't have to hide, but it's sensible to be discreet initially.
How about keeping something to wipe the said parts in the room and a towel to wrap around on the way to the bath room ? But I guess it's too late now, lol.
I guess them not being in school together makes it much easier to avoid being out in public except to a few select friends. But Matt hasn't gotten there yet. Does he trust his room mate and other friends at college ?
I guess I can't fault Matt for being sensible, but waiting a week to spend time with Parker would be impossible for me. I hope Matt can focus on studying and then see Parker.
I'm not happy with Matt even questioning whether they should be exclusive. For me, if I'm dating someone (not that we do US style dating here), I don't think of other options. He should consider himself lucky to have caught Parker's interest and not squander the chance to be with someone who fits him so well.
My clever Swedish friend @Puppilull said what I was thinking. I'll just add that my admiration for Matt's intelligence and honesty went up. He won Parker's mom over in one go, simply by being himself.
Hmm, not sure I'm happy with Matt playing hard to get. Guess Fate isn't either after all the trouble she went through. So it's instant Karma - meet my mom moment.
