    Christmas Day

My favorite line: your Grandmother laid down the law to the Homophobes Arriving with an engagement ring on his finger should really do them in. I'm glad he found happiness and hopefully a wonderful reunion with his family.

    The Story

Yikes, I'd imagined forcing him to live at the house and tend the garden, not claiming him as a human sacrifice. But it did make sense, and I'm always happy to read a tale where nature (especially trees) defend themselves against the destruction caused by man. This planet could do with fewer humans (say about .1% of the current number) and more wildlife.

    Elixir

So sensible and yet so magical. He finally got something to fill the aching hole in his heart left by the death of his father. It was the nudge he needed to transit from lost child to an adult capable of love and commitment. For Puppilull

    Chapter 1

I'm glad Terry went to all this effort or Billy might not have believed his interest was genuine. But a picnic in December on an island in the windy sea
  5. Take care, Renee, I hope you'll feel better soon, and the end result is worth all the hassle. Here are two SATW comics about the Scandinavian kids to cheer you up. https://satwcomic.com/raising-children https://satwcomic.com/babysitter
  6. I don't know if this is a real bug, or perhaps something which will be fixed with the next update, but I simply have to ask this curious question. In my activity stream on my profile I can see two comments which I recently left on Val's White Elephant Gift story, and one comment for each of chapter 18 of Graeme's Leopards Leap and chapter 48 of Leopard Spots stories. On my profile it looks like the first comment on Val's story had two normal likes and the second got six likes, but in actual fact the second comment got two LOL likes, not six. For the comment on Graeme's Leopards Leap chapter he gave me a LOL like, but in my profile it looks like it has three of them. (same for chapter 5 in Leopard Skin Cover, btw) For the comment on Graeme's Leopards Spots chapter he and mogwhy gave me a like each, but on my profile it looks like the comment has four of the heart likes, Two of the Graeme comments were my second comment on those chapters (yeah, I've been binge-reading the Lilydale Leopards over Christmas), but one of them (Leopard Skin Cover) was my first comment on chapter 5. I know it's not something really important, and I certainly never noticed this discrepancy before, but is there a technical explanation or is it a glitch ? No rush on the answer, enjoy your holidays. Happy New Year. I'm on Google Chrome on a laptop.

    Chapter 1

LOL, I have to admit I was as oblivious as Beau, so the ending was a wonderful surprise. I'm glad George could see the star potential in his co-worker rather than the explicit stardom of Mr. Nordsen. Will he send the dog back, now he's ploy didn't work, or did he really want one?

    Chapter 11

on the holes and brain stuff on the special abilities on the promise of protection from the captain

    A stripey gift

    You could read the prequel.
  10. Can't help you with the beta stuff, but let me know if you want me to put my editor cap on while reading. Of course, that might be more effective after a rewrite.
  11. If he leaves nasty comments about your writings, @Renee Stevens, you can always get back at him by closing the topic and do a critique on one of his stories.
  12. I shall definitely give this story a go when I have time.

    Chapter 18

Yes it has. Ross' mum asked him and he said he was 20 and would be 21 in January. I had the feeling she was pleased he was a bit more mature and experienced than Ross, without being too much older. Isn't it nice, when your readers remember better than you do, Graeme ?
  14. I'm not pissed at the chapter only at Don who is a manipulative, insensitive, nasty idiot. I hope Robbie tells the adoption court that he'll only agree to the adoption if Don and Sue are forced to go to at least ten hours of PFLAG counselling (or whatever the Canadian equivalent is), and if the retired social worker he met when he ran away comes around regularly to check up on him. I'd love to see Don's reaction to those conditions. But with Robbie's luck he'd get a bigoted official who'll tell him he's lucky to be accepted and adopted at all. I'm glad Daniel spoke up, he's obviously been at the receiving end of Don's subversive tactics more than once.

    Chapter 48

I guess it's appropriate to congratulate Australia on getting marriage equality. Jim and Tony must surely be ready to get married by now.
  16. Sorry - but it's the first spider SATW, so I couldn't resist.

    Chapter 1

You're welcome, Brian. Sorry you got to read them in the wrong order. But yeah, my chapter note was meant to advice readers that reading this story before Christmas Stars and Stripes, might be an advantage. I'm delighted you liked this story so much, it was my first attempt at a true short story - but of course I couldn't resist the temptation to return to the characters.

    Chapter 1

I'm sorry, min ven, about not alerting you to this story before, particularly since reading the sequel spoiled the surprise at the end of this story. But I'm glad you enjoyed it even so. If you click on the name of an author or on the Stories tab on their profile, you'll get a complete list of their stories. Thanks for reading.

    Blue Christmas

I'm glad he used the wish wisely, but I wonder what the hospice staff will think. Or did he wish for himself never to have gotten cancer ?

    Chapter 50

Well, that's JJ sorted, let's hope we won't have to suffer his presence for a few chapters.

    Chapter 25

Yikes, if not for the Hollow's ankle gift, Mick might have been trapped with the King forever. I hope he wakes up in a cuddle with all his guys.
  24. “I’ve got a Christmas present for you.” “But you already gave me one.” “Yeah, an official gift to be opened in front of parents. This one’s different.” Eddie watched as Connor dug into his backpack and produced an oblong box wrapped in black and gold striped print paper. Oookay. Creative wrapping paper, if not very Christmas-y. Most likely another of the silly gag gifts Connor liked to present him with, although he rarely wrapped them so nicely. “Hmm, is this why you dragged
  25. Being apart for Christmas isn’t fun when you’re boyfriends and roommates in college. But a surprise present or two may cheer Edward and Connor up.
