    Chapter 63

I loved JJ's solution. You would not want to know what my reaction would be if i found a couple of fuck bunnies in my bed without invitation.
  3. I will not even try to say I know your pain. You are the only one knows that. What I will say is if you want company, my pm is always open. Not necessarily to talk about your loss, but anything you want. Share recipe cards (Lol I know you get frustrated the the amount of convo about food!) Just offering company.
  4. Be careful rick. Cold water on your wrists and back of th neck if you start overheating.q

    Chapter 62

Welcome back. And a great come back it is!
  6. Thanks molls! Your post last week started me thinking, which lead to several serious discussions. Hubby and I came to the conclusion I was trying to do too much for too many people and it was costing me both physically and mentally. We came to the conclusion i needed to leave teaching at the second barn. While the pay was excellent, it was also hit or miss, and several times they cancelled as i was aproaching the driveway after a 45 minute drive. I was feeling guilty. I am not a quitter, and the students out there are fun to work with. Todays post changed that. I don't go out and do much just for me, and the hours there took away the one activity i did purely for my pleasure. Thank you again molls! You have done a service for more than just your own wellbeing.
  7. Fans and nice cool well water did their jobs. I think the campers wet each other as much as the horses! They had fun.
  8. Be careful molls, this heat is dangerous!
  9. With heat indices of 105* ( 41*c for you metric peeps), hose the horses and turn on fans.
  10. Said in by best Lou Costello voice Hey Albert!
  11. You are all quite right, members do make the difference. I followed an author here from another site when he (she? lol I am not really sure) was having plagiarism issues. I joined in order to be able to leave comments on chapters etc. I find the interaction enjoyable. Members need to understand, however, that words are a double edged sword. What is said matters, and to more people than whom you said it to. The old adage is wrong, Words CAN and DO hurt, sometimes more than the sticks and stones.
  12. Commodores
  13. Well, I guess being between Sandlers Creek and Whale Creek sounds like flood zone on paper, and a lot of it is, but a goodly portion is well above mean high tide.
  14. Lol I had the same argument with mine. Whale Creek (tidal) crosses below my place, 100 ft in elevation below my basement floor. We were high and dry during Superstorm Sandy when half my town was flooded.
  15. Think they are coming sooner than that. Horses are getting skittish.
  16. Umm, Randy is gay, gets married to Josh. What did she expect? A catholic priest?
  17. Just remember, even the President answers to the house mother here in the Nut House. That would be me of course since I opened the place!
  18. Just keeping you honest.
  19. Hello love. I will get to the chapter shortly, as soon as my brain solidifies. I think it melted today.
  20. Hey - you promised nuke free July! New Jersey too.
  21. When one of our autistic students aged out of the system that was paying for his riding, instead of saying he could not ride because of money issues we threw him a "graduation". We used the deaf peoples clap(sorry if that term is politically incorrect but I have no idea what they call it now.) Hold both hands in the air and turn them back and forth quickly, like a fast "royal wave".
  22. You never know where you may find Kathy and Peanut! In the last three weeks we have taken him into ( yes inside ) a school board meeting, and to the preschool 4 times now. We are socializing a little girl with emotional problems who would not interact with anyone outside her immediate family. First day she just played with Peanut, second day we got her into a classroom for 10 minutes, although she tossed a wicked fit and we had to bring Peanut in too. Yesterday and today we told her Peanut had to go to his own classroom, aka my trailer. She still went in with no fits.
  23. i also realized that i dislike the phrase “Well, just get back on that horse.” But sometimes it feels like i’m trying to climb on a wild mustang. i know that if i can just take a deep breath and start again, that i’ll find a way out sooner or later Don't worry about getting back on the horse, instead make friends with him. Like tim said, walk with him. Everyone has stretches like this, even horses. Breathe, remember we all love you, including Phil, the kids and the dogs.
  24. Wahoo! Day 4 of Peanut goes to Preschool was a resounding success. No more screaming and yelling, just a little whimper when the little girl goes one way into class and Peanut turns the other for his "classroom", also known as my trailer.
  25. Well watch him paint some happy little clouds for me.
