  1. That's all? Hubby and I hit 44 this fall, 46 if you count dating time.
  2. Yup, but I HAVE covered my deductible. The moron in claims decided chiropractic was not covered. When I broke out the 2026 Medicare handbook and read the section verbatim to the CSR he did the double back step shuffle, apologizing profusely, and promised to fix it promptly.
  3. OK gang, follow this one if you can. I turned 65 and am required by law to have Medicare as my primary health care coverage, and the coverage provided by the company hubby retired from became secondary coverage. Both are what's called 80% plans. So if done right, a bill for $100 goes to Medicare first, they pay 80% URC, in this example $80. Then the remaining 20% ($20) is submitted along with an EOB from Medicare to my secondary insurance who pays 80% or an additional $18. I am then responsible for the remainder or $2. That's IF the morons in claims processing do things right! They dont. My chiropractor submitted a bill for $105. The health care company that administers my Medicare part b denied the claim. Then my secondary refused to pay anything because Medicare denied it. The kicker? The SAME company not only administers part B but is also the company his retiree benefits contracts with for our secondary coverage. My new question is will they cover me at all when all this causes me to have a stroke?
  4. A customer went out and bought herself a brandy new truck AND horse trailer! No more calls on Friday evening wanting to show on Sunday, no more attitude if I am already booked, no more arguing about my prices!!!! Yipeeeee! Have never been happier to lose a customer!
  5. OK, this is a week of firsts! Wednesday took a horse to the dentist. She is a skittish thing so we decided to load her for the trip home while she was still just a tad loopy. Silly thing tried to go up the ramp sideways 3 times. Thursday we picked up a mini from a clinic. Very long day, 2 hrs there, 2 more to her place, then 2 back to mine, a giant triangle covered 250 miles. Momma was so happy she gave us 2 envelopes. One the fee for the ride, the other "a little something for making a stressful situation better". Inside the TY card was a tip. $100. People have tipped me before but this was a tad over the top! Today I am taking 2 goats to the same clinic I picked up from yesterday. One is sick, the other lives in the same paddock and started to freak out when we took his buddy out. Not the first time we have taken buddy sour pairs because one needs to go. It is, however, the first time the healthy one took several steps politely, then took one look at the trailer and flopped over and played dead! We had to carry him the last 10 feet!
  6. In a holding pattern @ the horse dentist. Roughly 2 hours to kick back in gorgeous sun & high 60's . Got both my phone and tablet so I am set! And people dont understand why I like taking their horses to the dentist!
  7. I keep telling myself "Ignorance can be fixed. Stupidity is forever"
  8. OK, that's just freaking stupidity!!! My kid stops @ McDonalds for a soda. It's a tight turn around the back of the building between the kiosk and pay windows, so she swings her 4 door pickup truck wide. Some twit decides he isn't going to wait and swings out to pass the line and leave, trying to go between her and a block retaining wall using the no parking fire lane. He hits the wall, and decides my insurance should pay the bill. Insurance calls me for more details. Wings had not told me yet, so I am clueless. She figured she would fill me in when she got home, but twit has already filed the claim! We are talking this occurred @ 1:30 and insurance agent called me @ 2! Bottom line is my insurance agent says he can take a fly fart at the moon, he was stupid, was where he did not belong and Wings didn't touch him. No claim!
  9. shhhhhhh He has filed charges and lawsuits for less!
  10. Have you looked into an implant? I have gotten to the point with my teeth that when the dentist wanted to remove caps, do work underneath then re-cap several, I said pull them and make me dentures. Now every visit she tries to interest me in implants. Maybe when we get to the point where I have more denture than natural I'll get rid of these crumbly things and have full arches implanted. For now, I'll hang w/ the status quo.

  12. Welcome to GA!
  13. Hubby finally went back to work last week. We cruised for the first week playing things by ear. This week we embark on a campaign to get back to normal!
  14. I swear! Keeping tract of a 2 year old is easier than this 20 yr old college kid I am taking to shows! Hubby wants to put a bell on her!
  15. I was thinking train?
  16. We stop in every time we head to NH to visit friends that moved up there. Every time we do he says no christmas cookie candles, my favorite. He says it makes him disappointed walking in thinking I baked and finding out its just a candle.
  17. Sure you do. Went right to the gutter where most of us hang. You are thankful the weather geeks have finally stopped cursing @ us, using the "s" word!
  18. Now that is just rotten to do to a kid! Got a call 8:30 this morning, can I take a horse that I had moved a couple of times to a show about an hour away. She had made arrangements with someone who reached out on Facebook to share a ride and save a little money. This 19 year old is a bit nieve and paid up front. Long story short, trailer was supposed to pick them up 7:00 this morning, no showed, and all messages were ignored. I got her there, she had to ride in a later division, but we made it work. How do you do that to a kid?
  19. I am not sure which got under my skin the last 6 months more... the whiny "what if I cand do the things I like anymore" or the constant fight to keep him off the foot while it healed, chasing him with his crutches etc when he was told none weight bearing. At one point I told him You use the crutches or I will use them to beat some sense into your head."
  20. I broke out the sunscreen today. High temp hit 87*. It's too early for this nonsense! And being April in NJ the possibility of wintery storms here is not past yet. We have had very cold rain/wet snow as late as May1.
  21. I agree wholeheartedly! That's how my husband lost 3 toes this past winter. Stepped on a small piece of wire, did not feel it due to diabetic neuropathy, ignored the swelling from the infection, and hid it all from me till the thing turned a pretty shade of green. When I found out and dragged him kicking and screaming to the ED they removed the toes and basically split his foot in half to clean the infection. If you need to scare him into it I can send pics of his foot at various stages of healing starting with the first bandage change after surgery.
  22. Lots depends on WHY you want to change. When mom' oncologist insisted on speaking to us like we were toddlers and regularly answered questions with various versions of " because I said so" we fou b d a new one. When I told him we were changing docs he told me we could not do that, I informed him, loud enough for the patients in the chemo room to hear "Your bedside manor sucks, as does your attitude. Read my lips, you are FIRED." and we walked out. New oncologist read her file, changed just about everything about her treatments, and said the old guy was an out of date quack. Change over was actually fairly easy and worth every bit of the hassle of strangling the records out of the old guy. The 3x a week calls from his office asking when I was bringing her in for her next appointment not so much. I finally blocked them and reported the office when the message he left himself asked if I was trying to kill my mother.
  23. Oh HELL no! He has to do SOME of the paperwork around here!
  24. Lol the taxes were the easy part. Strangling the info outta him was the frustrating part!
