One doesn't really need to be a first responders or some service industry to see the entitlement. Drive down an interstate. Seems those white signs that say "speed limit" are mearly suggestions, as are the big red ones in suburbia. You know, the ones that say "stop"?

Grammarly is a tool, nothing more. Having a bunch of college educated 20 somethings sound illiterate is bad, but having a similar bunch who at best graduated HS, and some having dropped out to help support family is worse. A writer makes judgements calls.

I can recommend the Whal brand clippers. They have 2 sizes of battery powered, and at least 2 sizes of plug ins. All are durable and do nice clips provided you keep them sharp and don't try and use the tiny ones for a big job. Yes, I know someone who tried to use the tiny AA battery size meant for little jobs like cleaning up whiskers and ears to attempt a full body clip on a draft ( read HUGE) horse. 3 sets of batteries later they quit working, and the dingbat tried to return them for a refund because " they should have lasted more than one day".

Why do people insist on waiting till the last possible inch to merge over for a construction lane closure?

Don't be so hard on yourself. You also moved house twice. Some people would still have boxes everywhere!

Now THAT was a pleasant surprise! Follow up visit for hubby with a new doctor, so of course we left time to fill out a ream of paperwork. Hit the check in and nope, they transferred all the info from his ED visit last week!

Went down to a farm i haven't been to since last fall. The cornfield on the corner I turn at was 5 huge McMansions. Almost missed the turn!

This IS tim's show!

Keep in mind letting AI make grammar corrections may not fit the character. Having a ranch hand that dropped out of high school to help support the family sound like Charles Emmerson Winchester III just doesn't work.

That's all? Hubby and I hit 44 this fall, 46 if you count dating time.

Yup, but I HAVE covered my deductible. The moron in claims decided chiropractic was not covered. When I broke out the 2026 Medicare handbook and read the section verbatim to the CSR he did the double back step shuffle, apologizing profusely, and promised to fix it promptly.

OK gang, follow this one if you can. I turned 65 and am required by law to have Medicare as my primary health care coverage, and the coverage provided by the company hubby retired from became secondary coverage. Both are what's called 80% plans. So if done right, a bill for $100 goes to Medicare first, they pay 80% URC, in this example $80. Then the remaining 20% ($20) is submitted along with an EOB from Medicare to my secondary insurance who pays 80% or an additional $18. I am then responsible for the remainder or $2. That's IF the morons in claims processing do things right! They dont. My chiropractor submitted a bill for $105. The health care company that administers my Medicare part b denied the claim. Then my secondary refused to pay anything because Medicare denied it. The kicker? The SAME company not only administers part B but is also the company his retiree benefits contracts with for our secondary coverage. My new question is will they cover me at all when all this causes me to have a stroke?

OK, this is a week of firsts! Wednesday took a horse to the dentist. She is a skittish thing so we decided to load her for the trip home while she was still just a tad loopy. Silly thing tried to go up the ramp sideways 3 times. Thursday we picked up a mini from a clinic. Very long day, 2 hrs there, 2 more to her place, then 2 back to mine, a giant triangle covered 250 miles. Momma was so happy she gave us 2 envelopes. One the fee for the ride, the other "a little something for making a stressful situation better". Inside the TY card was a tip. $100. People have tipped me before but this was a tad over the top! Today I am taking 2 goats to the same clinic I picked up from yesterday. One is sick, the other lives in the same paddock and started to freak out when we took his buddy out. Not the first time we have taken buddy sour pairs because one needs to go. It is, however, the first time the healthy one took several steps politely, then took one look at the trailer and flopped over and played dead! We had to carry him the last 10 feet!
