    Fir the same reason the AI assistant @ my auto insurance company refused to give me a representative. I go thru verification Me: representative AI: sure, why? Me: remove a vehicle Ai: i can do that Me: representative Ai:sure why? Me:representative Rinse and repeat 3x I hung up

    Good lord did it rain here this morning! Had to delay start of the horse show twice and finally cancel completely when the rings turned to ponds. Yes horses can swim, but a horse show is not the time or place!

    I live close enough to ground zero that I watched the towers fall out of the skyline from my upstairs window. Many parents from the elementary school I worked in at the time worked in the city. We got lucky, no one from our area lost anybody. It is not a day I will ever need services, slow ring of bells, or anything else to remember. I make it a point to NOT watch.

    While my plan for tomorrow includes putting corn up, I have this $35 gadget that let's me strip 2 dozen ears in under 30 minutes, and the planned start is "what ever the hell time my belly growls for breakfast".

    Just back from my third run to the equine clinic this week. Mai, the receptionist there, thinks they should give me a room to nap in i am there so often! I made applesauce for the freezer yesterday. Today its 25 lbs of tomatoes on their way to sauce for the freezer. Tomorrow's plan is fresh corn for winter.

    Lol! The big joke @ the local show grounds is Kitt has a plan B for her plan B! One client was having a particularly bad day that I kept pulling solutions out of my "Mary Poppins Bag" (what the parents call my show bag). When yet something else went wrong mid afternoon, she looked at me and asked "what is plan #87?"

    We had a barn hand for a while who was convinced women could barely survive driving let alone towing a trailer. He was fixing a fence one day when I swung in with the 4 horse and parked it between 2 other trailers with about a foot to spare on either side. I looked at him and I admit I was not nice. Said " Almost looks like i know what i am doing, doesn't it?" He didn't speak to me for weeks!

    Grew up on Raritan Bay, was piloting dad's 32' fishing boat before I was legal to drive. We called it a hole in the water surrounded by wood into which you poured time and money. Got better when he downsized to a 26' fiberglass, but same theory!

    Was on my way @ that point. Was 1 when I set my alarm and flopped over. Fortunately hubby had a doc apt this morning so we got to sleep an extra hour and a half.

    Well, bang up way to end the long weekend. I am sitting @ equine clinic waiting for a customer to get her horse settled. At least the Mare didn't wait till 2 am to decide collic and a trip to the vet were in order. I should make it home before bedtime. Wish me luck!

    Might be more of a goodbye than you think. The phrase " feel it for the rest of my days" keeps running thru my head.

    Long weekend is exactly what I will have, but not the way most of you will. Three days, three different horse shows, total of 6 horses.

    I completely agree. You can always add a layer. You can only take so much off, especially in public, before you get laughed at, arrested, or both!
